On page 12 of the Feb. edition of Aust. Motor Cycle News there is a very small note stating -
RECALL: GS500FK6
Suzuki is recalling all 2006 model GS500F motorcycles. The recall notice reads:
"Some units may have had the bolts that secure the rear disc to the rim tightened incorrectly.
This could result in a loss of control of the motorcycle, possibly causing the rider to crash."
Affected owners are advised to contact their local Suzuki dealer.
Those of you with an 06 should ring your dealer even if the bolts on your disc are tight.
Thanks for the heads up, called Western MC, the recall affects bilkes with the VIN number up to 100630 (last 6 digits) Suzuki "should"contact you if you are affected but I would rather call them! No point finding out when youre plowing into the back of something nasty.
