c715 copper/Nickel Alloy for the can. I repacked the exhuast with fiberglass so it would not be so raspy.
Notice the exhuast hanger? I fabricated the hanger out of a SS rod (which is another alloy with Nickel in it) threaded the end that goes into the bracket on the bike then bolted it up with a nut and washer. I was very impressed with the way the two alloys welded together. I used a cronatron 3000T (HOT & STUFF) rod, worked well.
here are a veiw more shots tonight. The headlight is amazing as well. so clear and puts out way more light than the old stock one I had. dont mind the teal under the front fender I have to fix that. its from the previous owner, I only notice it when I use a flash on the bike.

thanks a bunch man , I have been working night after night on the bike for the past 2 weeks trying to get it done with hopes that one day will be warm. but I road the bike around my storage space tonight! :). super cold though.
I actually like the sound of the packed exhuast better than the non packed one. doesnt make my ears bleed as bad.
I was going to use Titanium but we had this c715 stock lieing around so I figured I would save some money atleast for a little while. I might end up doing titanium sooner or later. all I have to do it drill the rivets out and slap a Ti can on and re rivit. such an easy design.

it was c715 pipe. from what ive read its used a lot in marine applications. we had it at the airforce base by mistake and its been there for years. and my boss said I can have it all lol. so I did some reading on it and it has a lot of the same properties as SS it just has a higher corrosion resistance. I had to bore the inside though on the lathe, because it was .030 to thick on the ID.
A little heavier than the V&H aluminum sleeve but it will hold up better I think in the long run.
I was looking at can's today at the local MC shop and they are some serious $$$$$.
a titanium can was going for over 500$ thats just the can! . I need to get into welding mufflers! lol
ok for all you exhuast painters out there, everytime I paint an exhuat it always burns offff??? WTF. I bought 1200 exhaust paint , the base coat of silver is stayin on but the coat of black over that is flaking off after running it tonight. I dont get it , I just cant get that rattle can exhuast paint to ever work i think im going to take it to have it powder coated with high temp stuff. or can anyone suggest somthing that actually works.?
I just painted my exhaust with some bbq paint...1200 deg...either rust-oleum krylon, it was from home depot. Smoked when I first started it, no flaking. I did strip it to bare metal before painting.

I sand blasted it before painting it. even let it cure for like a week. im going to try to BBQ paint next thanks.

the chain isless than a year old it has chain wax on it. trust me its in grat condition. the flash makes shaZam! look worse than it is lol
thank you on the compliment, the packing makes a world of differnce on the sound. only cost me 7$ for the fiberglass sheet too.
That sound clip makes the exhaust sound high pitched almost raspy, at least on my laptop.
Once I figure out how to get a sound clip of my Yosh slip-on and full Yosh, I will post them. Both have a deep twin rumble.

its the clip itself, only because it was taken with my cell phone lol.

yea the bike still needs some work, but I swear the chain isnt rusty lol. in due time I guess. ive got the rest of winter

Try some VHT Fireproof paint, not too expensive and I've had good luck with it. Comes in a bunch of colors too VHT Paints (http://www.caswellplating.com/vht/vht_high.htm)
