Title: worst possible time to run low on gas
Post by: pingpong on February 16, 2007, 05:09:36 PM
So I was sitting at a stoplight on a pretty steep incline, and the light turns green. I give it some gas and let the clutch out, and just as the clutch is starting to bite, the engine started sputtering like it was going to stall. So I give it more gas, and then realize too late that it's probably because I'm low on gas, because suddenly the engine fires up and and avalanche of power sends my back tire spinning and drifting left and right through the intersection. I swear I must have looked like a retard right then. I went back and looked and there was a pretty long skidmark through the crosswalk section.

You slipped the tire?  Using engine power?  On a GS? You gots to get new tires or stop using that Crisco brand tire wash.

They're Sport Demons with about 400 miles on them. I guess I neglected to mention that I just happened to go over one of the tiny white stripes on the crosswalks...man DOT really needs to find something better to paint with.

Yeah the crosswalk paint is basically Crisco.

plus at intersections is where vehicles fluids like to sit that have leaked. Intersections can be very dangerous at times.

This is a crazy idea, seems like I would have heard this one before if it was true
