I ust installed my new Sport Demons yesterday. 110/70 up front and 140/70 in the back. the old dunlops the PO had on the bike were 110/80 and 130/80. First off the tires look a lot smaller, moreso than i thought a difference of 10 would make. Second, I actually like the lower profilelook better.
The bike just falls into turns now. It's crazy. It's like a brand new bike. Before it always felt kinda unstable and sketchy leaned over. I don't know if it was a combo of the harder compound and taller tire or what, but today i took the same turns i always do and it felt like a rock and actually leaned over so quick one turn that i almost crossed the double yellows.
I know the tire debate has been raging, but personally i love the way the 70's feel on my bike. it feels lighter and quicker underneath me now. Although i could just be high from riding after not being on the bike for 3 weeks.
Ok, I'm done now.. I think i'll go to the garage and caress them a little bit before bed....ahhh....nice tires.

Glad to hear it. I've got my stock size Sport Demons sitting in the living room waiting for me to buy some tire irons and make a bead breaker.
If you have a vice you can use that to break your beads. Just open the vice and insert the tire into it and start tighting it. This does ruin the tire, but if you have new ones who cares.
Ya, I have a big assed vice that I was hoping would do the trick. I even have a 2nd set of rims so I can get them swapped out and ready to go without having to ruin the tires I have on there now. Once I do that I'll probably end up selling those rims with the tires on em on ebay.
Grats jake.
Where'd you get 'em and how much did you pay, if you don't mind my asking? I might be making the switch here shortly as well.
Glad to hear those tires worked for you! I am in the market for some new ones myeslf!! I will know have to take a look at those! Did you put them on yourself?? What does it take to swap out tires?? Let me know that process!!

I got em from parts
411.comthey had the better prices than discount tire and southwest (although sw does offer free shipping).
I paid like 198 to my door.
Then i paid 20 some bucks a tire to have them mounted and balanced.
