Title: Vintage-style choke anyone?
Post by: vags500 on February 25, 2007, 08:36:17 AM
So I just snapped the top end of the choke cable thanks to rusted cable adjuster threads. I was thinking about moving the choke controls down closer to the carbs like it is (was) on most off-road bikes. It would eliminate something up on the handlebars for a cleaner look and, more importantly, eliminate another cable that has to routed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Any thoughts on where I might be able to get parts?

You could try swiping some parts from an HD Sportster: they have the choke by the carbs. You'll probably have to fab a bracket to mount, though.
