Title: Handle bar question
Post by: Pkaaso on July 16, 2003, 02:38:58 PM
Anyone who has experience with changing their handle bars.  I like the stock bars on the 99' I have and want to put some on my 93' and possibly my 89' (I have the clamp on style plate to add to the 89').

Are any of the these a direct bolt on (cable length issues) and close to the 99' OEM?

Thanks,

I got some superbike bars from flanders.. cost me about 50 bucks..

nice and heavy.. and definately better built than the stock suzuki stuff.

I rotated them too much I think.. its fine for highway crusing and stuff but on the street my hands hurt with teh position..

Edit:

DAMN! Those clubman's are so much more cheaper than the 50 I spent for my superbike bars from flanders..

all i can say is OUCH!

well atleast OUCH to the prof who is paying for those bars!

I actually have those clubmans on my bike, but you'd need risers to make em fit correctly.  The risers I bought were $80 or so (all billet aluminum), but I'm sure there are some you could get cheaper somewhere.  But I do know that the clubmans with 1 inch risers will work with all the stock cables, just some minimal rerouting of the front break line (for looks more than anything else).

The Daytona's might work too.  I'm not sure though, they just look similar to the stockers.
