Not enthused about a 125cc 4-smoker but imagine this thing with a CR500 or KX500 stabbed in the chassis...75hp possible and the thing can't weigh more than 250lbs!
Thats a neat little bike....we don't get any of the really cool small displacement bikes over here....case in point....
Aprilia RS250.....60HP....304lbs dry weight....130mph top speed....and get this a 150 rear tire....imagine that.

WE cna get the RS250 here...street legal even but that's monda costly. I'd rather cram a big displacement 2-smoker in an RS50.
I found somoene in Houston who has one of these bikes...it's an Avanti. I'm trying to find someplace other than that "badazztoys" store that has them.

I have never seen one here.....are they special import?....because they are not on the aprilia web site?
They're just something you have to find. Hit up the WERA groups and racers...they got the hook-ups and they've usually got the bikes.
Are there any other small displacement sportbikes we don't get over here?
therea an aprilla dealer here in waco,tx :) they do ducks, aprillas, victory, and trumphi ( how ever you spell it )
I should add.....any decently prices small displacement sportbikes we don't get here......that are not leftovers from the 80's or 90's?

I love this kind of stuff.
"...if you have been keeping track this bike has been in high demand by alot of people..." (Like you know, that guy who like, yeah.)
"125cc 4 stroke air cooled (hypo engine)" (Wtf does Hypo mean? Oh you are "sexing up" Hi-po. Make sure your baseball cap is on backwards while you do that.)
"4 Speed with clutch 1 down 4 up" (Wait 1 + 4 = 4? Wtf.)
"lifetime warranty" (Of what, the first tank of gas?) "lifetime warranty, yes thats lifetime." (L.T. LIFETIME! Wtf does this warranty cover?)
"WARRANTY: Product is brand new and in the original crate and some assembly is required. The warranty is 30 days against manufacturer defects on engine parts only." (Lifetime?)
"MSO and all paperwork for gauranteed registration" (I'd feel better about guaranteed registration personally.)
"kick azz suspension" (You know, forget what I said about gauranteed registration, I'm totally fine with that.)
"Please read our review here." http://badazztoyz.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=229 (It's as fair and unbiased as fox news!)
Good stuff.
(Aside from that, the lil bike seems ok, Mak, get one and make it kick azz!)
(You know I'm sure someone missed the irony on that last line...)
oh it was caught...it was caught.
I just want one to put another motor in it. Then sell it. haha
I bet I could talk some kid here into buying one of thsoe things for $1500. I should buy one just to see if I can get away with that. Someone loan me $1000.
ok...1000.00 kick azz dollars deposited :icon_mrgreen:
ok if the thing weighs 350lbs crated (I assume that's gross overestimation) it'll cost me $200 to deliver it to my door. If it weighs where I think it does (around 250lbs) it'll cost me $150. Not too bad, either way. I can get $150. I just need that last $1000...hmmm...
oh I know! It can be the GSTwins "Teach your girlfriend to ride" bike! We'll all pay for it and we'll just pass it around! It's a wonderful idea!
Ooooo I got the Perfect Motor for one of those.-------- LT500 Quadzilla. :thumb: My Buddy *$^#ed me on the deal and wanted $400 for the Whole thing and I asked him if I could Make Payment.I gave him $100 Down Payment and Brought the Motor home in 2 Crates. Then I Bought a Rod Kit and Sent the Crank to PA to get it rebuilt. The Crank had the Threads on Both Sides Stripped and the Thrust Washers Had Spun and Chewed .5mm into the Wheels.Well I got a message from someone on Ebay wanting to buy just the Top End.Not many People knew I even Had it.Well I told them that I was Going to rebuild it and put it in the Frame. Then He Emailed me back and said that he had my Frame.   I only owed $100 more Dollars in it.Now I have a Friggin Junked out POS that I already have $400 in.His Buddy said he would Give me what I have in it.I would still have to find a Good Crank and a Good Clutch cover but the rest is Almost Perfect I spent several Days Stripping,Smoothing and Painting some of the cases.Maybe since I already have this muh in it I should find an RGV25 frame to put it in. :icon_confused: :icon_confused:

That's the ebay bike. 110kg...that comes to under 250lbs! Kickass! For some reason I'd LOVE to have a sportbike with a kickstart...I think mostly because of all the times I have to jump my TL but hey...who complains...fucker...

Even spiffier details of the 200
The 200 puts out 12kw...that's 16hp.
i would get one of these once they depreciate down to nothing....Little 250...that really does'nt look that bad....but it's Korean :nono:
I wonder how big a motor you can stuff in there
(http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b324/evil50vert/GT250R.gif)
The Hyosung GT250 frame is almost identicle to the GS500 frame...
there's a brand new red Hyosung 650 ST for sale near me for $4800.... so tempting.
all the videos i've found on this little 250 seem to indicate a top speed of about 108mph....or mach .14 :icon_mrgreen:
Anyone want a custom TL1000S? Dyno's 124whp and has a single side swinger...
(I'm actually considering selling to pursue this...190~210lb bike with 65rwhp [CR500R block])

DO IT! You might even be able to get that down a little more also. I got my 05 R ( 0 miles leftover stock) OTD for 4500 back in november.
Back on topic, I want to see this creation Mak but I may be relocating come summer time so...if you are just a little creative I know you could make a grand pretty soon with all the stuff you have laying around.
Where ya leavin to?
Irritating because I know I can conjure the funds to nab the bike and a CR500R car-kit (already found the CR kit...and an RS250 kit!!) but if I can come up with the money for THAT then I need ot be able to come up with the money for the lighting kit kalee needs for her photography. She's been asking for strobes for over a year now...
I am sooooooo seriously consdering selling my TL to do it, though...I could do both, that way.
Greatness takes sacrifice... :icon_mrgreen:
It looks like I will be moving to the DFW area, specifically around Hurst this summer. You know what my main problem with the move is right now...I have to either sell a lot of vehicles or figure out how to move four cars, one truck and two bikes.
Just unsure about that sacrafice...I'd be real pissed to learn that the bikes can't hold up to 70hp. And so much work would have to be done to make me feel comfy pushing the brakes and wheels with 70hp.
RL carriers would move both the bikes for around $300. It's a bit out of the way but I've got yard space I could fit a few cars in for a couple months until you figure it out. I can clear out enough shop space, too, for bikes but you shouldn't have any trouble moving them.
Right now it looks like I will try to sell the RX-7 and the F250. Then I will only have to worry about moving the cuda, the CSVT and the bikes ( my wife will just drive her GTP down). Like you said the bikes shouldn't be too difficult. I will trailer the cuda and might just see about getting a one way ticket back up here to drive the CSVT down after the rest has made it down. Now if I don't sell the F250 and the RX-7 then I might have to take you up on your offer for temporary storage. Either that or find another body to drive with me to DFW as the F250 will easily trailer the RX-7. Who knows. :dunno_white:
Back to topic...you are right, it could be a big sacrifice depending on the build of the bike.
it just got pushed up on my "cool stuff to do" list. I've found the bike...$1000. I've found a 1999 CR500R car kit...$650. I've also found a KZ1000 so I can have something with umph and pillion friendliness for $1000 (like three blocks from you, Cuda). And Kalee's lights cost $1500. I can get at least $3500 for my bike....closer to $4500 if I hold out for someone who really wants a single side swingarm. I've got a bit of project money saved up. I think I could pull it off. Just gotta find some more info on these little bastards.
you're selling the Baracuda???

you're selling the Baracuda???
I'm not planning on it. Not to say that if someone came along offering the right price I wouldn't think about it but it is not currently up for sale. I am however looking at getting rid of some of my other cars right now. I just don't want to move all of them. Two posts up should explain the predicament pretty well I think.
took me a bit of odd calculation to figure this stuff up:
Front rotors: 244mm
That's a bit smaller than I want but the bolt pattern is the same as Honda. That makes that easy to tend. The caliper hanger is a little weak looking but I think it'll still hold up to an SV 4 piston pincher.
There's no cush. I can get a sprocket and machine a ducati-esque cush into it. It's simply bolted to the wheel. It'll make virtually any 520 sprocket viable as long as the hub diameters match up.
Forks...legs, 34mm. Tubes, looks like 50mm at the clip-ons.
still measuring stuff...
Anyone got any suggestions for afforable larger 2-stroke motors? Only ones I really know about are the CR500 and KX500. I also need something that could power a light but I've never done a lighting set on a 2-stroke.
oooo may also look at a klr650 engine. Not thrilled about a 4-stroke, but it'll be easier to set the lights and everything up. I don't know how I'm going to light up a 2-stroke...well could go magneto but they usually don't put that much voltage...hmm...
Ok the front rotors are actually 266mm...seems really odd sizing...however a lot of this stuff is based on zooki measurements. The caliper hangers are same size as SV1000...which beaing able to fit my TL 6-pots would be splendid, I'll settle for those beefy ass 4-pot SV calipers (the sv's are bigger anyway).
Each one of those spokes on those 10-spoke wheels is a little over 1" wide and about 3/4" thick. HEavy cast alloy...super heavy crap...I'd have to think of something else later on down the road...a set of GS wheels would work perfectly I think.
I was right about the tubes I think...they're quite a bit beefier than they look but damn all that travel they look like they have makes them look so dinky lol.
Big issue now is trying to find a way to make a CR500R engine turn out at least 100 watts.
