Title: Car Wreck (not me)
Post by: sanjay on March 04, 2007, 03:35:07 AM
Turd, I know it'll hurt to see this (not sure if you have an Avant or not).

And the kicker is...

single-car accident.  It was an ABT-tuned RS6 wagon.  Driver is second from left in the top pic.  He walked away, but good thing he didn't have passengers...

It doesn't look right...  If the car hit the tree THAT hard to rip the car in half, the tree must be made out of titanium or something.

But, that tree did survive WWII.

Man, that is one lucky dude. He definitely should not have survived that (and with what looks like very minor injuries no less). And trees are A LOT stronger  than they look. I have seen the results of an accidcent like this first hand (not quite as bad, but pretty close), and the tree looked like it had barely been scratched. The full size pickup that hit it was obliterated (i.e. the engine was lying in the middle of the road, the cab was 10 feet away from the engine compartment). I saw this accident happen in real time, scared the crap out of me. Amazingly, the two passengers in the truck walked away relatively unharmed.

It's not that the tree is that Strong it's just that the Car was a Poorly Made POS.(Compared to Cars of the Olden Days) If that had been a Pinto the Tree wouldn't have been there and the Pinto would have only had a Dented Bumper.

It's like I've told my kids before they ever learned to drive...

"Trees always win."

Always, even if they get busted off. They've got no insurance bills to pay!

Actually, Pintos don't need to hit trees to explode, I think a speed bump would do it

Yup the audi's ... yea, made of styrofoam and cheese.
Now IMHO nothing like a pre 80's american made sledge hammer to cut through things ... Like the Olds Cutlass very aptly named. Heck There is totally pimped out blinged out one running around town.
Cool.

you think YOU are crying, think about the poor bs-tard that wrecked his freaking veyron!!!! hope he owns a country...

did anyone see that stupid major movie director (i forgot who it was) that wrecked out near la jolla on i5? cut a ferrari in half and it was one of 6 left or something? i don remember details, it was beginning of last summer, but it was all over the news in san diego. i remember the guy fled the scene, but he forgot the fact that he was driving an exteremly expensive and rare car, and he kinda left it all over the road so they didn't have much trouble going "well, here's the plate... OOOh wait, i found the vin!!!" god i wish i had that kind of money.... not that i'd spend it like THAT though.
