they didn't say anything about remapping.... but its my understanding that on most production bikes there is a plateau in between 5-7k rpm? for Emission standards testing....

Maybe the remapped and didn't say anything?

impressive and stupidly powerful at the same time regardless.

And nearly 90 ft-lbs... with only minimal mods. Imagine what would happen if someone did intake mods, or massaged the engine even the tiniest bit.

Well you know the engine is already tweaked quite a bit.  We're getting into an age where only hardcore "break the engine apart" modifications can get much more power.  Take the K5 1000, for example; BPU bikes gain what?  10hp?  Maybe?

Look back a few years and think about what you got when you did that stuff to a 2002 GSXR1000; BPU then meant 20~25 more hp.

Then look at old tech like the BAndit 1200...BPU B12's gain 25hp easy.  BPU+cams gets you near the 140whp mark.

What I love is that the stock 1000, now, out does the Busa in power and still costs less.

Jesus christ. I would freaking die. I rode a 185 hp Busa and though I was going to die.

I think I would just start laughing my ass off really, I mean that much overwhelming of your senses would just either cause you to go numb, cry or laugh. And me, I laugh like a jackal anyways.

having ridden numerous high power bikes...including several that threw down over the 200 mark...it's not really that difficult to deal with.  You just don't find yourself at WOT.  Ever.
