Hi all,
Blokes at work were comparing which bikes were the best re: still going after xxxx years/kms. This made me wonder about the GS, so heres the question:
Who has the oldest, still on the road GS?
Who has the most Kms/Miles?
Just because its old wont mean that it will have done the most distance. The biggest/slash oldest may have to verify with a pic, (dont post it now wait until we narrow it down!)
As my GS is only 3.5 mths old I wont be entering
Cheers....
My 2001 model has just over 49k km on the clock thus far. I havent ridden it much lately so it's been hovering around that mark for a while.
I've got a '93 model that'll soon click over 39,000km's. It had 18,000 on it when I got it in 2000.
my bike is only 18 months old, but it already has 17,000km on the clock. so just a bit under 1000km/month... i'm doing close to 700-800km a week atm though...
My 89 had 48K when I sold it in 2005.
No idea since.
I have heard of this dude (he's been in here a few times too) from Portugul called Antionio De Sa Mota who had a GS with 125K km on it. It however was one that he sold in the middle to a family member and bought it back a few years later, so not all was him.
Cool.
Srinath.
I've just recently bought a '92 GS 500E (about a month ago) and it had 15000 km showing on the odo. I just assummed that it had been clocked. Is it unheard of for these bikes to do that much more after 100 000 km?
I'm really enjoying it and everything seems to work fine so far- Its now reading about 18 000 :icon_lol:
Havent ridden my GS for a couple of months, but when I did last weekend I noted it was over 52,500km.
Just updating my own Km's...after 13months i have done 32,274kms
I hope i dont kill the bike :2guns: before i finish paying for it!
Old Man
I'm a bit over 44,000.
A bit OT oldman, just as well we didn't have that ride last sunday, I've been up and back from the hospital with my wife 3 times since sunday. She finally had the bub today, I now have a daughter to go with my 3 boys. :thumb:
