I know it is probably very easy for you guys to know this and will laugh at the question...
Please bear in mind, I havent received my service manual for the GS500 I just got 3 weeks ago. (I only ordered it a few days ago , I know I am slow...but its TAX season for me so 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, tends to "burn out the brain a little)
Anyway, can you guys tell me if this is the OEM part on a 20005 GS500F Shift Pedal Assembly, its on the left hand side of bike, sorry I am tired and I am french I cant recall the exact word of the left hand side "shifter thingamagig name okay (grin)...!!)
I think it isnt, because I DID my order and receive the Shifter rubber OEM thingamagic looks like a condom but in rubber to slip unto the shifter thingamagig that is pictured below.
Problem is, I am not sure if I ordered the right one (ebay auction, claimed to fit GS500F 2004, I assume same part .. could be wrong... anyways), PPPPPPPlease help !
OEM or Not AS imaged below ?

PS the whole message is supposed to be illarious, please note for this effect to be reconized by the reader of the detailed message above, you must have just finishd your 6th days in a row 12 hours shift 8am-9pm, and have on an empty stomac drunk about 4 ounzes of Canadian Whiskey (crown of course) and 4 ounzes of Canada Dry Ginger Ale Soda, in of course in a 12 oz glass with only one ice cube... (more is messing with the 1:1 ratio alcool to soda already established) which is world reknown canadian drink called a " rye and ginger "... otherwize... I am sorry my humour was lost on you. (grin)
Not

crap, though so.. oh well back to "part finding I go" someone must have a gs part out there somewhere in the lah-lah--land of ebay.... maybe I should just get that 2006 Honda 599,seems tons of stores have parts for them ... GS500... Who makes those again ?

Stick with the one you've got. The stock rubber cover marks up boots and shoes pretty bad.
