yeah it's not much it's just that spammers have just recently become a problem of ours. I just thought I'd share it.

On a PHPBB2 board I help, I tried limiting posts to registered users, maintaining a banned-list, and CAPTCHA (sp?), but I was still losing to spammers. Finally I added a mod that adds a simple question to the registration page. For example "How many wheels does a motorcycle have?" 99% of spammers leave the answer blank, and a few fill it in with some garbage words. I think I've only had one spammer register successfully since making the change a few months ago, versus about four spam posts per week before.
