Title: Rear wheel/tire
Post by: wilgarn on March 11, 2007, 08:31:05 PM
Hey guys, I need to replace my completely worn out rear tire, AND my rear rim is bent. It's a 2006 GS500F. I ran across this on ebay : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/REAR-WHEEL-RIM-TIRE-DISC-suzuki-GS-500-500E-GS500_W0QQitemZ300089470266QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item300089470266 . Anyone know 100% if it will be a direct replacement, or if it will not work at all, etc, etc ?

AlphaFire is right, its a direct swap but hold out for something cheaper. Most end up throwing theirs away when they go to a wider wheel. ask around here in the classifieds, you'll probably find someone that'll get rid of it real cheap. I just got a Katana rear for $49 on ebay.

Yeah, but it has to be a wheel that fill fit between your swingarm(s) and you might need spacers.   Look for Katana 600 wheels or SV-650 wheels.  maybe suzuki bandit wheels too?

I have a 2005 GS500 wheel that I'm willing to sell for $40 + shipping.  It is in perfect shape both cosmetically and mechanically.  The bearings are included as are the rotor bolts.  The wheel has approximately 1,000 miles on it.  PM me if you're interested.

I'd buy Turd's.  He seems to take really good care of his stuff, plus I think the color of that one on ebay is a little different than yours.  Looks like you'd just need to mount up your sprocket, rotor and either your old tire or a fresh one
