Title: Burnout pre tire change.
Post by: ohgood on March 15, 2007, 04:52:44 PM
I've gotten a measly 11,000 miles out of the rear rubber. It's only just down to the wear bars, but you know, there are only two tires to keep me off the pavement. ;)

I noticed a very small roofing nail in a not usually used contact area (IE the chicken strip). After consulting a local mom/pop shop, I ordered a new battleax.

blah blah.

Here's the question for gstwins folks:

Do I post the footage of bleach + WOT = smoke     to youtube and link it here so everyone can get a smokey fix whenever they need it ---- or does anyone care at all ?

I think you should do it, but you need to have LOTS of girlies in bikinis & a thumping, rocking soundtrack.  :thumb:

I didn't see the poll there before

DO IT, Pour some gasoline on the ground for a better effect, underneath your tire, and do it at night, it looks cool at hell, but doesn't always ignite, sometimes and sometimes not!!!  Cool effect though!!!  I'll see if I can find the video of it I posted on youtube last year!!, and yeah burnt rubber makes one f%$k of a mess all over you, the bike, and anybody else handy, and please don't do this on a public road, as I made a hole 4 inches deep!!

Isn't that really dangerous? :o

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend that either, bleach is great for making ridiculous amount of smoke, but gas is just crazy, you're going to get flaming gas all over your inner fender, bad pie if that catches ablaze as well.

Incidentely, getting 11k miles out of a rear tire is phenomenal, I'm lucky to pull 3k with the Daytona, and I'm running $160 tires in the rear... friggins 190s.

doooo iiiit

use bleach. gas is stupid. water works, but bleach is the $hit.

and remember, just because the girls are in bikini's, doesn't mean you should be. wear your gear, even if you don't plan on moving much. it's better to be a fashion-obsessed squid (gear matching your bike) than to be a fleshless squid.

OK then. Tomorrow night, if I can get the girl RUNNING (see my latest thread about WTF happened to my carbs) after work I'll light her up.

Yes on the bleach, no on the gas, yes on some cool lighting, no on me in anything less than decent gear, blah blah blah.

Cool, hope everyone has the latest quicktime codecs ! ;)
