I used the search function but couldn't really find what I was looking for.
Can you guys (and gals) give me a primer on what/how to "naked-ize" the GS? Specifically, an '05?
I found some threads on the dual headlight conversion, but how is the single round headlight conversion done? I saw some mention of the SV; is that conversion done using parts from another bike? What options do you have for mirrors and turn signals when this is done?
Also, what about the chin spoiler? Are you using the stock spoiler or is it aftermarket?
Can you point me to any threads or topics that cover this?
Thanks!

Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. Alpha used the headlight from his '92.....are there kits available? What bike(s) should I look for that have the single headlight I'd need?
Now, about that chin spoiler......
The mounts for the headlight need to be from bikes with 37mm forks. I have a set that I will sell.
The headlight is a fairly common type...7" IIRC. Besides the GS500, the GS450 and SV650 use the same size. The SV lens looks better IMO.
The chin fairing was made by Suzuki and no longer available through them. You may be lucky to find one for sale.
But there have been some other manufactures of them. www.powerbronze.com and www.whaccessories.com are a couple that I know of.
Thanks. I didn't see them on the Powerbronze site, but the whaccesories had them.
Is there a way to use/modify the stock fairing to make a chin spoiler?
This is a great forum. Lots of good info here.
Oh, I'll let you know about the headlight mounts. My bike is supposed to be delivered on Monday. If it checks out OK and I get it, I'll be in contact with you.

Were these a GS specific part or will any of the SV stuff fit? Sorry for all the noob qestions. I just see mention of people using SV parts alot on here....was wondering what's interchangeable and what's not.
It was an optional accessory specific for the GS. I have one that I eventually plan on making a mold of but fabricating mounting hardware cost effectively is going to be a problem. The mounting clamps are still available at around $45 each and 4 are needed.
I guess you could mod the factory fairing. Never had one so I cannot comment on what would be envolved.
There are a lot of different parts can be used from other bikes but most require some form of modification. Rearsets, forks, swingarms, fairings, tail bodywork, carbs, pistons, heads, exhausts, subframes, shocks, fenders, wheels, calipers, levers, mirrors, etc have all been used at some time.
Dgyver, you have a PM.
