A few months ago I posted about oil at the bottom of my fork leg (left one when sitting on bike). I would get drips of oil under the leg and it would be "wet" at the bottom of the fork. I was told there was a bolt at the bottom of the fork and now that I have the fork off to look, I was not able to locate it. When I look at the diagrams on Bike bandit, they indicate the bolt on the fork with the brake caliper but not the other. What could I be missing? Any ideas?
Wish me luck on the busted exhaust bolt in the head problem, I have one. Going to weld a nut on top of the stud to get it out (hopefully).

The bolt is in a recess deeper than the axle hole.
There is nothing wrong with the drawing, the lower legs are different but the internals are indentical so there is no need to double up on the detail. Its how line drawings are done. The lowers are handed and have different part nos but other than that it would appear there are no differences between the RH and LH asseambly. The bolt itself is a Socket Cap-head, you will need a Hex-key (allen-key) to remove/tighten it as well as a way of preventing the damper rod inside from turning. The copper washer underneath the bolt is vital and should not be left out, it forms a seal that prevents the oil from leaking out. The bolt needs to be Loctited in position if you remove it.

Plus... You'll need to support the bike and pull the axle out in order to access the bolt that you need to tighten. You'll want to drain the fork oil that remains and fill the fork to the right level, too.
Placing the hex wrench in a pair of vise-grips will give you the leverage that you need to tighten t.

Thank you to everyone that responded...I will take a closer look at them. I have both of the forks off the bike to work on the exhaust now, I must have missed the washer and screw at the bottom.
