just get one of them cheap little ones on e-bay, that are like an ear bud with a little mic that comes down the side, that's what i have, and I always wear a full faced helmet, no problems yet, you put it on autoanswer then you are geared to go, i don't have much problem hearing even at highway speeds or faster!!

seems like voice activation would be appropriate for this. All the technology already exists. You could just say "answer", "identify", "dial so and so", "hang up", etc. Not that you need to be talking on your cell phone on a bike, but... pulling off to the shoulder and calling them back isn't exactly risk free either. Which is what I did yesterday.
I'm planning on getting the Scala this year.
It's nice to be able to call someone (911) during an emergency (rear-end accident) while riding (chasing the asshat who just hit you).
