i coulda sworn there was a 'crossfade' thingy feature for overlapping songs.. was i dreaming?

Might be a plugin. Check winamp.com

There is.  I haven't used WinAMP in a while, so I can't remember where the setting is.

I haven't used WinAmp since version 2.5 or something....but it used to just be either a little button or a slider near the play controls. Would suck if they got rid of that 'cause it made your playlist sound just a little more like a radio station  :dunno_white:

yeah early version of 5 has it but I am guessing that AOL did away with it in the free version ...
