Sorta looks like my new creation.
SWEET, got new crash bars off of flea-bay!!!!
geee
I wonder why.....the forks fit nice, NO?
I might get you on the bling factor.....
Looks like they fit up good. From what I can see, you ground the stop the same as I did.
Yeah you have me on the rearsets....not the Ohlins, got one too.
What motor are you using?
stock with some blinged up stock carbs....
exhaust is V&H or big friggin secret
headlight will be initially an old GS1100 8 incher....BRIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
already did the top shock mount and 99 GSXR stock shock...
Dude, that banana is hot.
I am really looking forward to see how this turns out. Do you plan on using the old style or new style bodywork?
Are those Woodcraft rearsets, and are those slicks you are running?
no, them are YOSH rearsets......if ya gunna go kewl...GO HELLA KEWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nope b-stones race compounds with tread....090 or 96's...havn't looked lately
lookin good. what'd you do to "bling" up the stock carbs?? chrome?
swing arm is the shitznit, upsidedownies are sweet, yosh rears are sexay, ohlins - forget about it....man it's all gonna be sweet. i'm really looking forward to watching it unfold too.

close.... polished them up....it the important areas...... :icon_mrgreen:
D,
it depends on if the secret tail light will fit with the stock fender.....sell it, if ya get a buyer....i'll find one if / when i want one
I might stri it down tonight and start prepping the frame for paint
I friggin love anthracite wheel paint!!!!!
You gonna use carbon fiber zip-straps to hold it together?
Happyturd,
you really need to get a friggin life
go suck eggs
you coming to dinner on thurs?
I guess I have a yellow tank to go with the other bits.....
Looks pretty awesome :thumb: Though with all that work the rear subframe looks a little out of place. A chopped down subframe with a solo seat would look pretty sweet. Or you could cut it iff and weld tabs to bolt on a nice looking one from a sportbike :dunno_white: Just some ideas.
Whatever you do, you're wel on your way to a badass bike. :thumb:
In fact it may be worth looking for a more powerfull engine to shoehorn in there. Maybe a newer 600cc superspoert engine, A Vtwin might fit better, wonder if you could get a 1000cc twin in there, RC51, TL, SV, etc.
Okay I'm carried away now, I've got to shut up
whoever here suppied the yellar tank....THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
and the new crash bars showed up
Looks great!. How about a few new photos of your progress? I'm getting all excited over here...
-T.
I refused to touch it til the tax paperwork was finished....
I finished the numbers on sunday
Monday night....I prepped the frame for paint, I ended up wiping the frame down with carb cleaner and removed all the bad rattle can paint
then I painted it with good rattle can paint
tonight I cleaned up some parts and started to assemble some parts....together.
pics to follow, soon
Happyturd and his boy
The Boy was doing real gud Sat

Almost at the same point where I am. Guess I could post some pics as well.
I spent 20 min looking for parts.....
ya know the important stuff....
street wiring harness....
tail light and all grab bar bracketry.......
couldn't find a friggin' thing
where the heck in my pile-o-crap is that stuff?????????
yeah I know the feeling....especially with 20+ boxes that look the same.
oh yeah....do you still need the 2 front round bumpers for the seat? I got a couple.
That gigantic yellow smiley face is hilarious.
That was our pit board when I endurance raced
one of my team mates worked for Griffin Radiator
He quickly drew it up and entered the data into a program
that piece of AL was cut out with a Turret Punch
and powder coated before 5 pm that day.
I now use it for SCCA when I show up for pit Buddha Loves You duty
Hayabusa front fender is on the way, You'ill get better mileage with one of your ysr engines.
found a harness.....
where did I put all the old street stuff???? :dunno_white:
Ken don't tell me you found out what it was Like to weld with shorts on. :o :o I done that Last Summer.  It was so Bad I was Still Peeling well into Fall.
Very nice looks great!! :thumb:
finished installing the engine and new crash bars
I think I have to use UNI filters with my upper shock mount location.....oh well....
got the jack plates finished up for the YOSH rearsets....I might make some designer holes to remove ounces
picked up a shift linkage rod off the shop floor....perfect length!!!!! super sweet!!!!!!
the busa fender needs a weird bracket.....might .... might not go there havend decided
I never cared for the busa fender ..... as long as you like it.
wow, doesn't take long to get to page 10.....
working on brackets to install the SECA650 headlight
got the wiring mostly laid in place
trying to decide on instrumentation
have a 86 GSXR 750, 95 GSXR1100, GS500, and FZ600 to choose from
looking like a modification to either the 86 gsxr750 or FZ600 will be the setup....more hand made brackets.......
going to go with a bicycle speedo i guess....dang, the 95 1100 speedo goes to 200.....
bike sits pretty good, footpegs location feels good,
I guess I got a corbin coming..... Happytrack keeps buying crap....and it ends up at my shop
What... no new pics?
I wish someone else would buy stuff and leave it at my shop.
working on pics...
I had to get the headlight mounted first
I friggin LOVE BIG headlights!!!!!!!
it's kinda like a single 36C.....D
might try the busa fender tonight and still thinking on instrumentation
got a kewl idea or 2 to add there......
note... If you don't like my choice of turn signals....I'm ok with that

Got any wine to go with those sprocket covers?
That busa fender :nono:
You may want to swap the reservoir hose fitting on the rear m/c with one from a GSXR, they are angled.
and the headlight.....thars a BigUN!
Yeah the busa...ehh...to big for a small bike
What kinda rear sets are those, I am assuming you made an adapter bracket for them?
I like cheeze :icon_mrgreen:
heck of a lot cheaper than Ti.....
I'm still out on the fender....it't the right color....is the only problem

500 buck yosh rear sets.....cheap crappy parts for a cheap crappy bike.... :icon_lol:
Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question but is there really a point to putting all those holes in your sprocket cover? Or is it just because you can? :dunno_white:
Rylon
saves ounces.....
cause i was bored one night.... ok, two nights
ventilation for the chain...
Beautiful.. big honkin fender though!
Question for ya, have you seen the rear brake MC deletes? Like this one:
I was thinking it's kinda neat, and since we don't use the rear brake a whole lot on the street, practical... was something I'd like to do in the future, just a small little "bling" mod.. thoughts? (I trust your opinion more than the guy who showed it to me.. "Hey.. lookit this.. it's neat")
that mod has been on race bikes for many years.....has to be clear so you can use it as a sight glass for level
so then if I fabbed one up myself, it'd be safe enough? Cool. Think I'll do that tomorrow. Gotta go to AA and get some clear stuff rated for brake fluid, so it won't sweat out.
The only place I have seen clear tubing safe for brake fluid is from yoyodyne.com and it is $8/foot. Anything else, will sweat brake fluid.
Good to know, thanks.
Damn ... I need to do my GS. I am seeing everyone paint their frame and I am going WTF ... everyone is painting ... I can do waaaaaay better than that ... I got's me a hundirt dollars ... I will powwwwwderrrrrr coat ... but hey, its been that way for a yaer ...
Anyway ... I'll weld all the crevices shut so it wont take in water and rust there, and powder coat it ...
Cool.
Srinath.
