Title: im fing pissed(its back)
Post by: mach1 on March 23, 2007, 05:00:22 PM
so from my last post about my bike i said the bike wouldnt go under 5k rpms and idle so i could not figure it out i tried everything, so i took my bike to a shop and told the guy to fix it and also fix the bent forks ok waited a day then got her back. took off noticed the bars being a bit crooked but not much and not very noticable so didnt bother when i got hoem i looked at the forks good, looked at the front tires OFF FRIGGIN CENTER so i took the wheel off and put it back together ok fixed. the next day going to work she started to rev again WTF ran fine leaving work but then slowly started reving  so i took it back to the guy and he took off the tank used a screwdriver to adjust something but didnt get to close ok fixed he told me the idle screw was fibrating up  :icon_confused: ok so i left a few days the bike ran great until today she started reving after work so when i got home i moved the tank back and looked inside wondering what the guy was adjusting i found the tube that the trottle cable goes through came out of its little guide not thinking that was it i put it back in and started it she ran great pulled it out rev rev rev.  :bs: the guy didnt fix a dam thing he told me he took the carbs off cleaned them and they are ok  :bs: so i looked for something around the house to fix it nothing so me being the smart guy i am i got a small piece of wire and wedged the dam thin gin ther and gave it a good tug and she is their to stay. so all i have to say is :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff: :flipoff: f those dam guys.
thanks for your time and sorry for the crappy grammer.

I hope you learned something from this.  DO YOUR OWN WORK!  Get a manual, sit down, read it, search the forum, and do it yourself.  You'll save yourself alot of money and frustration.  Well, you might not save any frustration, but you will save $ for sure.  Glad you got it working again.

Turns out you'll have to (or had to) find the time anyway... It's definitely hard to find someone good to work on bikes... Hopefully she stays the course for ya' now!  :thumb:

well im guessing that was not the problem but the thing that gets me is that it happens only when its hot so it cant be a screw or tube im leaning more towards a vac leak but i checked before does it matter that the left hose under my tank is not their? someone please help if i can figure it out im taking it back since i have warrenty and whatever he did last time fixed it so if it is a screw im goping to tell him to put some thread lock on it im so exhausted
