Title: It's back from the dead!
Post by: 97gs500e on March 23, 2007, 08:48:22 PM
I finished repairing my SV and installing my new exhaust early this morning.  It was a crappy day, but I had to take it for a ride.. it's been nearly three months!

I replaced a clip-on, right peg, right mirror, front brake master cylinder, installed 2-into-1 yoshi system, and buffed up my right slider.  There's still a few scratches and a tiny bit of rash here and there, but I don't have any plans on replacing those parts.

Im not quite sure what you mean, but they're the factory tires, with nearly 4k miles on them.  I've only put about 1,500 miles on them, and most of my riding is commuting to and from work and school on straight flat kansas roads.  I have chicken strips, huge ones, and its difficult to remove them. :icon_rolleyes:  Does that answer your question?

I'm close to replacing the rear; I'm thinking stick with the Michelin's or maybe switch to Dunlop Qualifiers.

Like, you have the big shiny spot in the middle, and then the dull spots on the edges.

The ground is wet.  Don't you guys ever ride after it rains?

Bike looks great, again!  :thumb:

What kind of exhaust hanger bracket is that? Looks like something from a food grater.

ha ha..
It's a $2 exhaust bracket, made from a pot strainer..  seriously though. Does that makes this a rat-bike?
