I sell and ship about 10~15 items a week.  This comes up to about 1~2 complaints every two weeks.  This week's:

I sell a solo tail and tell the guy it'll be at his place within five days.

Last Friday evening, over three weeks since the sale, he contacts me saying he never received the tail.  Tracking number stopped at amarillo.  It was after business hours so I had to wait until yesterday afternoon to set anything.  Label came off the apckage, I get it sent back to me, it arrives at the shop this morning and I promptly return it to the driver with a better label stuck to it.

He contacts me a moment ago cursing and telling me I'm scamming him and that the bike he was putting the tail on he sold.

Irritates me because had he contacted me when the tail didn't arrive as I told him it would it would have been corrected then without any problem.  I was tempted to tell him his current need for the tail wasn't my problem.  Bleh.

Refund him his $$$ Less shipping  :thumb: :thumb: Nothing he can argue there... Then re-sell the tail... not much else you could do  :mad: UPS

you could send the guy an envelope with some flour in it!!!!  Minor federal law violation  at worst you get life in a fed pen :dunno_white: Seriously though my mom does a shaZam! ton of online sales and all she does in those situations is refund the cash minus shipping   :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

If he doesn't wan't to do that he's just bitching and hoping to get a free product.   People are little shits like that.  You gotta slap em around and show em who's boss when they get like that ( battery is only a misdemeanor most of the time!!!!!!)

I sell a Shitload of stuff on ebay and Rarely get a Complaint.I only Use USPS though.Anytime something does get Lost it's Customs Fault on their End.

Yeah she stays away from good ole brown.  turns out what brown can do for you is f%$k up a shipment pretty consistently.......  She's mostly on amazon shaZam! sells for lik 3 times what it goes on ebay for!!!

Yeah UPS Killed an inventory of Irreplaceable Laverda Parts for me.The Box that they came in said that there was orange paint Leaking out of the Bottom and was repackaged.Sure there was Orange paint in the box but it was Completely Dried up.Well most of the parts were there but there was a few Missing.I called them to come and Pick them up to be Inspected for the Insurance Claim.When they returned them the second time A lot more of the Parts were Missing.What was Breakable was Broken and they Arrived in the Original Box that the Guy I bought them from had shipped them in :mad: :mad: Guess what? No Sign of any Orange paint leakage. :mad: :mad: They didn't pay up on the Insurance Claim Either.

Don't get me started on Customs they Killed a very large Cagiva Inventory for me that I bought from Australia. :mad: :mad: Close to $2000 worth of parts down the Drain. :mad: :mad: :mad: Again USPS Wouldn't pay up.

I refuse to use UPS any more...fedex either.  DHL is cheaper than UPS, more reliable than FedEx, and you dno't need an account for them to bill you.

Lots of UPS/FedEx horror stories.

Yeah I've heard DHL is pretty good for heavy/large packages....................  Never had a problem with FedEx though.................

the problem i have with FedEx is that they can't find my house and they NEVER deliver on time.

Mind you, weather has been beautiful for the last several days and DHL and UPS had no problems making their deliveries.  When it was shipped it was guaranteed to be delivered Friday.:rolleyes:

Wow.... I can see your problem with FedEx now thats some retarded stuff.   I've never had anywhere near these type problems.  My mom has shipped about 2500 things a month for the last 6 months with USPS and only had three packages dissappear and USPS paid everytime,  A couple of shipments were 1-2 days late but nothing worth mentioning.

I HATE DHL....our local DHL guy is a crack head....quite literally...we haven't had a problem with UPS ground, only with UPS freight (we ship 40+ boxes and 8 skids at least a week) Now for freight we use Roadway no problems thus far and they're uber cheap. Fedex..thought it would be a good idea to take my billing address and my shipping address and combine them into one address...so after an hour on the phone they finally figured out where my package was/needed to go.  :mad:

Oh yeah UPS Logistics. :mad: :mad: :mad: I shipped a Rear End with 2 Gear Clusters to a Guy in Colorado one time.I built a Crate and Weighed it put the Gear Clusters in a couple of Boxes and Weighed them.The Rear End Housing Weighed 125lbs and the Clusters were around 75lbs.When they came and Picked them up I was Expecting a UPS Truck.One Morning about 6AM a Week later I Got a Call from the Shipping Company that Picked them up and they said that the Total weight was 100lbs heavier than What I had weighed the as.WTF? I got my Credit card out so they could charge me for the rest.When they said it would be $250 More I kept my Mouth Shut.a Few days later I called my Credit Card Company and Refused the Charges. :laugh: :laugh: When you call UPS Logistics they are Not even Associated with UPS they just use the Name and Set up shippments thru your Closest trucking Company.

Roadway is a great Company.When I worked for the Doggy Treadmill Business thats who the Boss Used he would ship 30-40 of them a Month.

I use RLCarriers for freight.  They've been crazy cheap and they'll move anything.  I've used them to ship several bikes.
