Well today after 210 days :o I got back on a bike. After my wreck I'd been on my fiddy but not out on the road. I was a little apprehensive because taking quick right corners in a car instigated a giant panic attack several times.
It reached 50 here today so spring is officially here! We had a nice little thunderstorm the other night to help clear up the roads and it just happened to be AJ's day off. So we headed off to my parents house, dusted off the gear and I grabbed my brand new scorpion for its first ride. It was a bit chilly, so I layered, my new fieldsheer pants are still for sale so i can get another pair that will actually fit, so I was stuck with the chaps but they were warm enough. Apparently the 15lbs I've gained and the extra muscle I've put on made my leather jacket a bit tight too...I'm going to have to get another cold weather jacket here pretty soon I've got no mobility left in that one...
My parents driveway is muddy, its too long and expensive to pave it so its all stone and gravel. With all of the snow we've gotten the spring thaw has made quiet a mess. AJ wanted me to ride her bike down the driveway. My first time back on a bike since my wreck, in 210 days, and my first time on an 01+. I have to stay I had a little more trouble reaching the ground but it wasn't as bad as my 350. Just riding down the drive way I got my groove back. Since mine is still in pieces and my 350 needs a battery I was stuck riding Buddha Loves You for the majority of the day. That was fine with me though, I trust AJ and her riding and I had a good time. I rode it back up the driveway as well when we went to put it away.
Bottom line: It felt damn good to be back on a bike, and I'm glad I had a positive reaction as opposed to a panic attack. I'm so glad I got the itch back!
Oh ... itch ... OK Preparation H is best for that.
Cool.
Srinath.
Glad you're feeling better!
Glad to see you back on. Not gonna lie, I panicked going through a tight right hander yesterday, even though I've been back on the bike for over a month now.
This isn't the first time I've wrecked...just the first time I've highsided on a road and ended up...in a field on the other side of the road...I'll be fine I think...just taking it slow :thumb:

glad to hear that you're back on two wheels. Now lets all keep the rubber side down and have a great spring

After my wreck I'm doing it slow two. Especially the front brake part...
Lissa,
I think if you mention AJ.... you might get banned..... :o.....crap, me too....
glad you are doing good
I was rubbing my side the other day and realized the spot i was rubbing was where the tube went to reinflate my lung after my last highside....
glad you had fun, and say Hi to A* for me.
