Post by: yamahonkawazuki on July 19, 2003, 12:36:31 AM
went for ride today, it ran like rashad was talking about awhile back,"wont rev above 8k." my situation is i have a bad exhaust gasket. replaced plugs BIG DIFFERENCE   CURED!!! 10k again. before this it was running like a gz250. point to story alot of times there is a simple solution to a big problem. 'course i could always replace the exhaust gasket though    thats after i  :guns: my truck. cost me much money over the last couple of days.

Hmm.. exhaust gasket.... you mean the o rings? I replaced mine so i know im safe there. :thumb:  As for the revs, it goes all teh way now! Just have to get it to NOT fall on its face at anything close to full throttle.. i think i need to block some holes.

The o rings were like 12 bucks at the dealer. GO for it!

:o  :o $12? hopefully not each. i was quoted $4.45 each at suzuki dealer in area they will be replaced soon enough. for the time being, ill get an extra plug and keep it in the bike. the old ones were in there for six months. bike was started and run each day for a few minutes. they, 1 of them at least, fouled out day before yesterday. like i said, it ran and accelerated like a gz250, would pop and sputter once in a while. when i pulled out plug to replace, 1 it was fouled, and 2 it was soaked with gas.
(it wouldnt hit. new ones are working great)
