Title: Buell Turn Signals
Post by: Lex143ms on July 19, 2003, 09:32:45 AM
On Pablo's site it talks about a problem when the blinker doesn't flash after installing Buell  turn signals.  Is there more info on how to fix this and how to install the new flasher, which one to buy, where it goes, how to wire it?  Also, I have a 2001 gs500, is there an issue with that particular bike and the turn signal or is it soley for older or new years?  Looking to perform the swap, but I would like a little more info.  Thanks all.
Lex

on your 01 (same as mine) it will likely flash fast. I thought my site covered it but you can do a search here for flasher. or flasher relay to get some results for the old posts on the subject...I think it was a basic flasher from auto parts store but I don't have specific info.

I have a 90 and I just bought a cheap $2 flasher relay, hooked up the two wires off the stock one, and all works fine with the buell signals.

All it takes is a Tridon 552, I believe. Available at any auto parts store. About $2-$3.
