and it takes these guys over an hour to get my new tire on!!!! They were trying their hardest to get the damn thing on as i was thinking what the hell...is it really that hard?? It was at a real shop and everything.
They had all the necessary tools and it still took them over an hour!!! Is this normal?? How long does it usually take to put a tire on?? I was the only person in the shop and my bike was the only bike they were working on. It really made me feel GREAT about getting back on my bike to ride it home. What's the deal??
Some tires can be a bear to get on. I'd guess that these particular fella's hadn't been mounting tires for very long ;)
Congrats on the new tires! Replacing a warn out tire makes it feel like an entirely different bike.
-Turd.
that's an understatement....it really did feel like a new bike. Before I could feel everytime I changed gears, now I can't!! I'm not sure how putting a new tire on helps with that but it really did.

+1 It only takes me about 30-35 min. to change one in my back yard.
I used to be Able to change a Knobbie in 20 Minutes with 2 Tire Irons. :thumb: Last time I changed one though it was Putting a Used Barum on a Cagiva rim. It took well over an 1hr 1/2.  Not because of Inexperience but it Had Fossilized.
I went to wal-mart a couple of yrs ago
I wanted new black round hold air tars for my Del Sol...
they told me it would be like 4 hrs
I said I'd take the tars..... TO GO....
and they looked at me real funny like
pulled into the driveway
jacked rear
replaced 2 tars with spoons
jacked front
replaced 2 tars with spoons
finished all 4 and dropped the car on the ground in 48 min.
Did you take it back to get them Balanced. It would have only Taken them 2 Hours.

Hopefully, the
