Well I have a very firm offer on the Busa and the only thing is I do not have the title in hand. It is still with Suzuki financial. The guy that is buying it is out of state, so I don't know what all I need in order for him to register the bike in his name. Once he pays for it I am going to be sending the rest of the amount for payoff. But will he be able to register the bike without the title.
I called Suzuki finance and they said I pay it off they send me the title and then I sign it to him. That seems like a lot of delays....so if anyone has a clue how to do this without having a title please let me know. I will probably deliver the bike next weekend....thanks
You really only have two choices:
1. (The ONLY way IMO) Don't sell the bike until you can afford to pay it off yourself.
2. Sell the bike and promise the buyer that you'll mail him the title when it shows up. They probably wont see the title for well over a month.

Definitely going to go with #2, as I am not going to pay off the bike unless someone is going to buy it...Do you know if the buyer can register the bike without a title in hand??? Thanks

Most states say no....
you have a third option, transfer the suzuki financing to to him...let him pay it off...most buyers aren't going to stick around without a title.
Or sell him the bike but make out a Bill of Sale.Make sure you sign it.Make them Sign it and get it Notarized.Have in the Bill of Sale that the Title will be Delivered when it Arrives.
Can he get a plate with just a notorzied bill of sale...
Nope Either way He'll Have to wait for the Title.
Yea a bike with no-title is no good on the road...from a legal standpoint :o :o.....
Either pay the title off-then sell
Transfer the financing to new owner (he'll get the title when it's paided in full)
Pull insurance on the bike, put it in the shed and keep paying the payments and then some on the principle.
The only times a buyer can get tags/insurance on a bike w/o a title is through a reconstructed title where the bike is salvaged out....NOT good for the buyer's resale value if he goes this route...Once a salvage always a salvage

+1
I didn't get the R6 right away because the seller didn't have the title. He borrowed the money from his parents to pay off the title, and when he got it in the mail two weeks later, I had a new-to-me bike.
NEVER buy a bike without a title... no matter WHAT is said.
