gt 650r comet (street)
gv250 aquila (cruiser)
the cruiser is for my dad and the street is for me.
Based on the posts I've read from you.. stick with the GS for awhile
From what I have read about and the bikes I saw at a dealer I'm not a big fan of Hyosung, and I'm Korean .
I belive a few others have bought the GT, I'm sure they will chime in.

im not buying the bike im just looking. (not ready to move up yet) My dad was looking at some of the cruisers and he said they looked nice, we are going to go today and im going to test ride one for him and tell him what i think. Im looking at the gv650 and thats a nice lookin bike im going to try to have him get that one if he decides to get a hyosung.
Before you buy one ask the dealer about part availability.
i am, i was looking online today and had a hard time finding parts. i just talked to my dad and he said he wants to go look at some honda's and suzuki's so we will see what he gets. anything is better thatn his old goldwing that thing was friggin heavy, but it was free.
250cc Cruiser? :icon_confused:
Get a Suzuki S40... 650cc... It's NOT over-powered, but it's fun to ride.

I wanna hack parts off the 250 to put on the gs...they're basically the same only it has less power than the gs...

You are thinking of the gt250, the gv250 is a different bike.
In response to the others including the initial post: I own an 05 gt650r. I have had a blast on it and it still to this day get a big grin every time I ride it. I also still own my gs500. Most people who speak up against the bikes have absolutely no experience with them. The biggest downfall for Hyosung right now is sourced from a few shady/lackluster dealers. The parts are not a big issue. I have had a warranty claim on my digital dash and it was replaced in about a week with no problem. If you have any other questions check out korider.com. You should be able to answer any question through a little searching on there.
Back to the gv topic, tell him to look at the gv650. It will be much easier to live with and imho looks ten times better than the gv250.
oh hell yeah the Gv650 looks dam good and im not into cruisers but she is a bute. i like the gt650 we may go tomarrow t go look at some more bikes so i may sit on one and maybe go for a test ride if they let me :icon_twisted:.
thanks for the info cuda_06
I hear you cant walk past a Hyosung with a glass of water without it rusting.
but I hear a lot of things...
i thought our gs's have a bit of a rust problem to :icon_confused:
The shady dealers certainly don't help promote a positive image for Hyosung, which is a hard catch for them. Was just reading that Hyosung's CEO has also been CEO and Chairman at HJC since 1971, which explains all the "HJC" promo stickers on the GT650R's pics.
Hyosung, I've read good and bad things about them. The bad seemed a bit cosmetic and some questionable user experience scenarios. If you have major problems it's under warranty.
Here's a review on the GT250. The GT250/R looks best in blue, reminds me of ... nevermind.

Price wise they are wicked and I'd pick one over the new CBR125R's.
Good luck and post pics if you get one/both :)
Cheers,
JG

I have an 04 as well, no rust yet.
I have a 95... no rust :thumb:
Those are definitely some sharp looking bikes with some very sharp price tags :thumb: :thumb:

Uh yeah... Total :bs:
It may be able to do 90 (which I doubt), but that doesn't mean it can do 90 "No Problem." :icon_rolleyes:
I hate dealers.
If it's anything like a ninja 250, it'll do 90.. but it'll vibrate your nuts right off
ehh he is looking at a yamaha V-star 650. I'm going to take him to La Motorsports aka Out the door, to see if they have a few, that is the onyl place near my house who gives the best deal.
so we went to go look at some bikes and he is going right now to get a 07 650 V-star classic (yamaha) it is a nice looking bike but not my cup of tea.
the V-star custom was nice and would ride it if he bought it but oh well not my bike.
here is a link to what he is going to get.
