Well I'm deaming of ridin' again even though I should be studyin' but I need your opinions.
Do you think I need to replace my front rim? Money's tight and a dry rotting front tire needs to be replaced
but if the rim is no good what's the point in gettring the tire first?

Better fix the forks first.
The front wheel from my old race bike has a bend in it. Never noticed while riding. Not a bad as yours though. Depending on how far the lip is bent out...it looks like it is very close to the bead not sealing.
Yeah, might want to de-tweak the forks first. Be sure to check the steering stem and triple clamps for cracks.
I would look for another wheel. Straightening will probably cost more than a used wheel, but you might check into it.
Wheel straightening local to me: $65 flat rate. Probably the cheapest in the country. Excellent work.
I was thinkin' it would go faster with the front wheel tucked in closer :icon_mrgreen: You know, it'll cut through the wind better!
Seriously I have some use forks I purchased through this wonderfull board this past winter and just got new fork seals last week.
As soon as my schooling lets up a little I'll fix 'em :)
The tire has held air all winter, though with no riding.
I've got an extra front wheel. It came off a 2004 with I think around 1500 miles. It's black.
If you want it, I'll sell it for $50 SHIPPED. When I had my front wheel straightened, it cost me $50 for the labor.
$50 is a good deal IMO. PM me if you want it.

think about it for a second. the wheels/tires are the only thing keeping your face from eating pavement. do you really want to trust your beautiful face with that wheel? throw it out. dont even give it to someone free.
