I have a Dynojet kit. Cost me $80.00 from www.orientexpress.com They are a racing components co. There's probably a better price out there if thats what your looking for.
K&N makes one also. I'm sure thats just as good.

Don't forget Factory.  I believe they call their's a stage 10, instead of a stage 1

K&N only resells the Dynojet kit. As mentioned, Factory Pro also makes a kit. Or you can DIY following Srinath recipes.

K&N resells the dynojet kit, but sells the filters which you need too. Factory Pro makes jet kits too. So Factory Pro and Dynojet both make jet kits, K&N only resells jet kits. The difference? The Dynojet kit requires some drilling, the Factory Pro kit doesn`t. The Factory Pro kit comes with replacement vacuum slides. It`s easier yo install. The cheapest? Srinath recipes! The easiest? Factory Pro. Check my site for more details about installing a jet kit:

Go to: modification manuals => engine related => stage 3 jet kit.......
Good luck!

Oooh, by the way, stage 1 is less expensive than stage 3. Stage 1 doesn`t require the special K&N filters. Check the K&N site, or the Factory Pro website for prices:

Check the links section on my site for more info`s.

K&N resells the DynoJet kit, but I paid $25+10 shipping for mine off K&N website. They got some closeout deals on right now.
I have never run it on my bikes...Just bought it to experiment with it vs my recipie. I believe I am quite close, and some ways I think mine is better. Some people have tried the kit and had issues. Factory kits use a needle very similar to stock but with extra clip grooves. That may be better, but it is more $$$.
Cool.

Ok, so the Prev Owner of my bike said that the bike had been "drilled".  It still seems to be cold blooded and have boggy power issues.
So I am assuming I need a full kit to do the jetting?  To make up for the "drilling"?

Sounds good....Any details on where it was drilled...and please dont say at the owners house...
Cool.

lol, "a shop did it" to "fix power issues"... I've looked thru the paperwork the PO gave me with the bike, and not found any more than a vague refrence to it being re-jetted on one receipt, but I can't tell from the hand written scrawl if they are saying they did it, or just referencing that it had been done.
But if I get a full kit then I should be ok, yes?  Because I'll be replacing what would have been drilled?
My mechanic friend just helped his brother rebuild carbs on a project bike... I don't think I'd tackle this on my own, but he says he can walk me thru fine if I get the right parts.
(sorry for hijack, just seemed silly to start a whole *new* thread *again* about jetting   )

They may have drilled the brass plugs on the mix screw, or drilled and tapped and put in inserts in the slides, or may have drilled the pipe for more noise. Anyway If you have a kit in it already (adjustable needles are a dead giveaway) no need to buy another one. Just leave it alone. Just tuning/trouble shooting is needed.
Cool.

No kit yet, just ambiguous drilling... lol

If you get the factory kit and the slide was drilled, tapped and blocked you will be replacing the drilled parts/ But if anything else was drilled there may be no need to replace them. So I suggest you forget about what was drilled and jet it with either kit or without a kit. Then tune it and see where it works best.
Cool.
Srinath.
