Title: Tacho Bottom Case
Post by: Aerospike on April 10, 2007, 12:52:08 AM
Hey guys,

For those of you who remember my struggle with that electric tach I bought, the resutls were frustrating  I tested the tacho on a signal generator and it's dead!  So I'm back on the hunt for a good tach.  I still have the guts of my old mechanical tach and it works.  I just need the bottom case.  Can that be bought separately or do I have to buy a brand new tach?  Dealer ships says no, internet says yes, but not where to get them or what the part number is.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to the metal bucket the tach is housed within?
If so... then no, the tach has to be purchase as an assemby.
If the interenet says yes, then there would have been a part number associated. The dealers have the same part diagrams as the online retaillers like ronayers.com and bikebandit.com

or the plastic housing that both of the gauges sit inside?
If so... then yes, the housing is available. Something around $30.
