They suck. I have a set. A pain to adjust, not possible without tools. Really cannot see anything behind.

There is a set of stock GS mirrors on ebay.

honestly I think the stock one's are ugly. I have some emgo's that came on the bike when I got it and they won't stay adjusted and really suck, so much vibration I can't see anything behind me.  I would rather go for looks if they are all going to be as shtty as the one's I have. I don't really like the bar end mirrors either.

SV mirrors are probably the best looking stock mirrors.

You can always get Rizoma mirrors......$$$$

WOW!!! $$$$ is right. They are sweet, but man- i can't pay that.  Don't know what I'm gonna get, need more options...

Yeah, tough to find a good looking mirror at reasonable price. I have always had fairing mounted mirrors, plenty of options.

I replaced the mirrors, like in your first post, on my 97 with a stock type mirror but they are a little shorter. I wanted something that would be safe for my g/f when she rides. I will probably get a pair of the Rizoma Dynamic mirrors for my 92 project bike.

I have one mirror on the left side that I cant see anything out of unless i hunch way over and tuck in my shoulder. Is that even legal? I bought it like that. I don't mind for city driving but on the highway its a pain in the ass to do a shoulder check all the time and have your head whip around from wind.

I always do a shoulder check, so function isn't that important but nice to have.

Get the new set that fits into the endcaps of your handlebars they are 50 brand new and give you a better vieew around your shoulders.  Plus they dont look like gian bug eyes sticking out the top of you bike like the stock ones do.

Those are similar to the ones I bought to replace your first link. Mine are more square but I like those better. They seem to work fine. For the price, cannot beat it.

I bought a set of these and at first they sucked and moved arround a lot, but once I replaced the metal expander then with a piece of rubber (simmilar to how the stock bar ends install) they work just fine. Not the highest quality but I like the look and they're cheap, plus you can mount them in a variety of ways. They come in chrome or black

2nd Generation SV mirrors can often be found cheaply on svrider.com sometimes on ebay. The stock ones can be adjusted a million different ways and look soo much better than GS stockers.

I've got a set and AJ has a set...I think we both picked them up for about $40 shipped

If you are still looking at getting the first set that you were considering, just say no! I had that exact pair and they are a pile of crap. They look really cool, but I decided to put the stock ones back on before I killed myself.
