We'll see though...
I'm not really sure it's a smart thing to do, 'cause I'd have to finance it... But... I WANT!!!!
Those are SWEET!!!!!! That's what I would wan't if i was getting a cruiser :thumb: :thumb:
Probably be $200/Month for 36 months at 7.something% interest...
I want it!
Not bad........... but I'd wait til the dealer has one of those promotions where you only pay $89 for the first 3 years and save the cash that you didnt pay those 3 years to pay it off at the promotion end :thumb: I have a friend that did that with a C109
:thumb: Fuel injection
:dunno_white: 5-speed
:thumb: Shaft
:thumb: Seat height: 27.6 in
:cookoo: Dry weight: 637 lbs
:flipoff: Rebadged: Kawasaki
i never realized the marauder was a rebranded kawi
its still a bitchin bike
f%$k the Marauder.
You need an M109R.
ehhh hmm, a 109 ill never get, why , damn good bike, plenty fast but set is WIDE. unless youve got a large inseam, then youll have trouble flatfooting it
It's not rebadged... It was actually a dual thing, I guess...
Marauder 1600 and the Mean Streak are the same bike... Except for a few things, like the rear fender and a couple badges... I actually just found that out today and though it was really funny... 'cause I was trying to decide between a Mean Streak and a Marauder. SAME DAMN BIKE!
And, while I love the M109R, I can't have one... Too much $$$.
I'm picking the bastard up tomorrow!!! I'm not getting shaZam! done at work. HA HA HA HA
As far as the 5 speed... Something tells me that with 1600cc I won't need a 6th gear. Oh... 650 lbs? Yeah... It's heavy... But, its low center of gravity makes it not as bad. :thumb:
I think I came up with a good name for it... "The Bastard!" :thumb:

Yup. Suzuki and Kawasaki do that for a few other bikes as well. The DR-Z are the same as the KLX models of same displacement, the RM-Z250 is the same as the KX250F, not sure about the two-strokes though. They also share ATV platforms.
Awesome :thumb: I'm wavering on the should I finance line.........something tells me not to, but that little voice in my head with the roaring Duc/Termi setup in the background is pretty convincing
Well, considering I bought my 2001 GS with 12k miles on it for only three digits...... I figured I could get soaked on financing.
I want it to be tomorrow right NOW!!!!!
HaHa..have fun tommorow :thumb: I wan't it to be this summer NOW.....so I can reup and blow all my bonus money  I'm stupid, I know, but i'm gonna be stupid FAST too :icon_twisted: there's a black 919r somewhere screaming my name
DUDE! Those goddamnmotherf%$kers at Renton Motorcycles (http://www.rentonmotorcycles.com/) sold the f%$king thing after I left!!!!!!! It was MINE... I just needed the financial paperwork to come though first thing in the morning and they f%$king sold it. f%$k!!!!! The motherf%$king sales guy didn't say there was any potential that they'd f%$king sell it! It was mine godf%$kingdamnit!!!
I'm gonna go cry now.
Wow, sold out from under you? Did they know you were coming back to buy it? That's BS!
I wasn't coming back to buy it... I f%$king BOUGHT IT!!!! I just needed the bank to send the check!
f%$k!!!!!!!!!

Well, at least I'll be saving $200/Month... YAY!
Did you put any down payment on it before you left that morning?......
Hurray for @$$hole Dealerships
You should buy a KTM Super Duke instead. I wouldn't make fun of you at all.
Or spend $5k on a Star.

I feel like a moron, but I honestly didn't think I needed to... If the sales guy told me I need to secure the bike, I would have.....

$5k on a Star? What, a 650? BOOOO!
i wouldn't go back to those asshats. unless they wanted to throw some cash at you to get ur business
I was thinking about going back and running the salesman ragged all day long... Then tell him that I bought a bike somewhere else. :flipoff:
But... I think I'm just gonna leave it alone. Either he got screwed too or he sold the bike to someone else for more money...... Salesmen are 90% liars, so how can I really be sure of which happened? :dunno_white:
I think it's best to just try to get over it, rather than try to get revenge... I'm feeling a little better about the whole thing, but the sunshine and perfect riding weather isn't helping... I want it to RAIN!!!
I'm still mad, but I'm wiser for it. Next time I'll put money down or have the check in my hand when I go in.
hey, at least you are pre-approved for financing now ;). better make sure that the bank hasn't sent them any money yet...
Yeah... As soon as I got the voicemail I called the bank.
My credit is friggen gold, so the financing wasn't a big deal... But, yeah...... I'm approved for 2 months. :thumb:
Now... Only if I could convince the wife of this:
SQUID!

**UPDATE**
I'm finally cool-headed about it, so I called my sales guy...
It turns out that their policy is to NOT hold bikes (understandable), NOT take deposits (WTF?), and NOT release bikes without a check (understandable).
So, there's pretty much nothing I (or the salesman) could have done about it, short of paying cash and riding it home...
I left a Voice Mail for the Sales Manager asking about the No Deposit policy and if they plan on changing it... And what a customer can do to make sure their bike doesn't get sold to someone else...
Hopefully they'll change the policy to keep more people from feeling like they got the shaft. :icon_confused:
