Title: Rejet/Lunchbox/Carb boots
Post by: russelldub on April 22, 2007, 04:56:39 PM
Hey folks,

Been reading for a while, and messing with my '96 GS which hasn't been running right for a couple of months now...

Have had the carbs off multiple times now and everything inside looks pretty good and clean, but I haven't really paid proper attention to o-rings and gaskets.

I think I've finally figured my problem (thanks to this board (rev's sticking (not throttle)), is going lean because of cracks in the carb boot.  So, obviously I need to replace the boots, but since I'm in there, I want to put a K&N on, I hate dealing with the stock airbox, and might as well rejet while I'm at it, and for good measure replace all the gaskets/o-rings.

So... to get to the point.  Is there a best place to order, replacement boots, air filter (lunchbox or pods), carb rubbers, and jets all in one deal?  Also, in replacing the boots do I need to also replace the o-rings?  I'm in the East Bay, CA.  Will the dealer have all these (except K&N i guess) and not charge me an arm+leg?

Thanks
