Title: Not So New . But , A Few Questions
Post by: Jay_wolf on April 23, 2007, 02:37:16 PM
Right  , Theres Just A Few Things Im Interested In ,

1) Is There Anywhere In The Us That Sells The Touch Up Paint For The Charcoal Frame *1996* Cant Find It Here
2) The Gsxr 750 88 Rear Wheel Just Fits On , Is There Any Others That Just Bolt In
3) I Spoke to the person who Mots My Bike , And I Asked Him About Rejetting , And He Said It Does Basicly Nothing , Apart From Lower My MPG, Also All You People Who Have These Aftermarket Exhausts, I Fitting My Nexxus Stainless., And The Bikes Feels Smoother, And Faster , With More Torque  And It Wasnt Rejetted.. And At 320 Quid , *720 Dollars* Its A Very Well MAde Exhaust
4) Im Sure On This FIne Forum Someone Spoke About A Male Plug That The Aftermarket Lights Fit In , Mine Doesnt Seem To Have That Anywhere, If Anyone Has A 1996 Etc , And No What It Looks Like , Please Post A Pic
5) My Bike Was Sitting For A While *being Banned , Keeping It At My Mums* etc and when im pushing It Around I Hear A Sort Of Metal Against Metal Squeek, Its Very Quiet And When Im Riding I Dont Here It , ANy Thoughts ?
6) As For Front End Swaps , How Much Work Is Really Involved , Because I Really Want To Do It ?

Thanks Everyone ,For Your Time

Jay

Ohh boy where to begin

1. I would check color-rite(google it) and see, I have never seen any but I dont have a charcoal frame
2. Possibly, but isnt the 88 GSXR 750 the same as the GS or similar in width. If you are loking for the same type of wheel then the early katanas also had the same wheel.(89-95ish)
3. YOu need to rejet if the new exhuast flows any better than stock, and for 720 dollars it gosh dang better, so a rejet is neccassary for it to run right
4. No idea what you are talking about
5. More descirption needed, you say when its rolling it has to be something related to the wheel or brake. Try putting it on the center stand and give the rear wheel a spin. To check the front it will be a bit more work, but if you narrow it down as not being the front your golden.
6. As much work as you want to make out of it. Check the wiki for more answers to your questions

4. Are you referring to the headlight connection? The wire harness has a female H4 plug, whicjh connect directly to the bulb. There is a male H4 plug, I have one that came with a light, but I have no idea where to get one. I need another one myself. I may make one from a female plug. Swap the connectors with male spades and epoxy it together.

1  the 88-89 is NOT a bolt in
2  The kat from 89-97 is the exact same wheel as a GS just in different colors!!!!!!
3  truely bolt in....98-02ish kat 600/750 rear wheel is bolt in....use the kat rotor/wheel/caliper bracket and use the GS cush hub

obviously #2 will bolt in but no advantage except color,  #3 is a 4.5x17 and a straight spoke instead of a 3.5x17 with curved spokes

bandit 400 is 4.0x17
bandit 600 early is same as 88-89 gsxr 4.5x17..... with a wider hub area than GS....therefore the mods needed....not difficult.....can do it with hand tools.....
