Title: H-D XR1200
Post by: spc on April 23, 2007, 07:25:17 PM
Is a seriously slick looking bike.  I wonder when they'll get it out in the US. :icon_mrgreen:

Harley says it's destined for the US...of course Harley's not too big on making a bike that they can't sell here.

with the fi however, any and all work involving fuel ratios and or idle speeds will unfortunately have to be done at the dealer

why wouldn't they be able to put a powercommander on it like they do all the other EFI HD's?

Good point, it is essentially the 1200 sportster engine so theoretically the PC for the 1200 sportster would work.  Now that bike would get attention wherever it went :thumb:

It's just...  Not........   Not right.... ???   V-Twin in a dual-sport frame with an 80's H#nda tail, a 70's H#nda tank, up-turned Cruiser pipes.....

I dunno...  It's looks like a franken bike to me. :icon_confused:

what the shaZam!, vert?  you losing it?  That bike is almost entirely classic flat-tracker.  the tail's a bit too pointy and there's inverted forks, but everything else is signature Harley Davidson.

Huh...   Never seen one before.   :dunno_white:

I think most motorcycles are ugly...  But, I forgive most of them.  I'm getting better...  I even like a cruiser or two...  Now, only if I could like Sport Bikes.   :dunno_white:

I don't think I'll ever like the look of that HD.   :icon_confused:  I'll take a Scrambler any day over that.

It's a sharp bike.  The only HD I would consider owning :thumb:  Man those Flat Trackers are whacked out :o  130mph with no brakes :o

I'm glad HD is at least thinking about doing it, but I still prefer the look of the aftermarket sportster conversion kits, though they are spendy

Nothing wrong with harley. The build quality has gone up for quite a while, and some of the things people do with Sportsters is amazing. That bike looks hot.

Saw that a few months ago in an issue of Robb Report Motorcycling.  Gorgeous motorcycle!
