Title: Polishing Lips
Post by: gstwizzle on April 25, 2007, 10:18:20 PM
So I read the forums about how to polish the lips on my rims.  I did as was stated and everything went according to plan.  However removing the paint revealed some small oxidation spots.  Could these be removed with sanding.... starting with a coarse grit and ending with a more fine sand paper??.... Does anyone have and suggestions????

If it's just oxidization, I wouldn't do course grit.  Just light......

Just use a product like Mother's polish, or a paste automotive polish.  No sanding required if it's simply oxidation.

So turns out I'm lazy so....I used 80 grit sang paper :o.... then 320 then scotch bright pad....then mothers polish ...... and it came out really good in my opinion....
So if someone could please tell me how to post pictures ... because I am a noobie on this forum then I could show the results.
