Title: tpc fairing
Post by: georgedickels51 on April 29, 2007, 01:33:23 AM
Hey all i just bought a 1992 GS with 6000 original miles.  I love it so far.  I am riding on the highway alot and i have a need for a fairing.  ive done all the research that i can, but i cant seem to find how i could possibly import a TPC fairing.  I emailed TPC themselves and got no responce.  Any ideas?!

yeah i mean i looked at the airtech, which looks nice, but it is not painted and you have to drill holes to mount it (which i dont want to do).

Welcome to the board.   :thumb:

Do you mean the TCP (http://www.tcpsa.com/) fairing?

Considering the expense of buying the fairing kit and importing it, I would try a windshield first.  GS members have installed several National Cycle windshields.  GSJack has a very large "cruiser style" windshield on his GS for winter use.  A search will turn up LOTS of info.

Yeah, I think that getting a full fairing would be really expensive. You could probally sell your E model and buy an F model with a fairing for less than adding that fairing would cost.

There are plenty of cheaper windshilelds out there that do a better job of cutting the wind than that thing would do anyways. They look kind of dorky but some of them have quick release brackets.
