Title: slip ons for a 2007 gs500f
Post by: rhino66549 on April 29, 2007, 06:02:25 PM
I have several diffenrent questions. How do you know what slip on exhausts will fit on a gs500f? Is there any mods that have to be made to be able to put on a slip on exhaust? Whats the difference in sound between slip on and full exhaust? I appreciate all the help from everyone, thanks again

the full systems flow the exhaust gases better there for making the most power possible. A slip on only allows more exhaust gas to flow out past the pipe.

Because of the range of alum tubes usued on different bikes varies some applications fit multiple bikes. I suggest to stick to these applications t hat have been designed to directly bolt onto the GS500F....Yes other slip-ons will fit but require some welding and pipe bending and a custom bracket to hold it to the passenger peg sub-frame. How much is a headache worth?

Jardine is the bolt on of choice

pull up a search for all the other manufactures of slip-ons
ALSO EXPECT TO RE_JET

If you want a clean, 100% stock clean look, I sell an exhaust that's identicle to stock except the muffler is straight-through and baffleless and sleeved.  I make it serviceable, too.
