On the way home from class today I was riding along when I noticed another bike coming up behind me. I could tell it was a Suzuki sportbike, but assumed it was some flavor of GSXR. Came to a red light and he pulled up in the next lane over. I turn my head to give him a nod of acknowledgement and then had to do a double take.
It was a blue and white "F" model. 8)
I've never seen another gs on the road, wierd. I did see a couple of sv1000s today, they sounded good flying by.
I saw one parked in Santa Cruz this past weekend. Charcoal & silver (I think)...and nekkid, too, I think. We had three hungry riders who were desperately seeking food, or I'd have stopped and left a note. :icon_mrgreen:
Yeah, I'd wished I had the time to yell to him; "Hey! Do you know about gstwins dot com?"
Watch it Alpha! :2guns:
How funny! I had to take my new baby in for service so I was in my cage. I took a shortcut home because there's a bunch of traffic on my way home. I stop at my stop sign right before I turn onto my main street to go home and what sits before me on the other side??? A GS! I ran over really quick and complimented him... told him it was an awesome bike. Hopefully he lives in the area so I can chat with him some more and go riding. So funny you mention that!

I've never seen another gs on the road...[]
+1, mine is the only GS I've ever spotted on the road up to date, too...!
In fact when people/friends ask me, "I know you've bought a bike, what model?", I try to say: "A Suzuki GS 500"...and they: "....huh?"...and I "...it's a small naked Suzuki, like a Duc Monster but not as fast". 8)
Thing is, the 500 cc-class (and below) is quite uncommon in my country (except maybe for dual-sports), and here the GS is the minority(I suppose)party of the GS500/Honda CB500/Kawi ER-5 group.
You can see lots and lots of naked bikes, but they're all 600 cc or above (Duc Monsters, Hornets, Kawi ER-6n, Yam Fazers, etc...)
You should've told him to come to the rally!! http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=33614.0
Yeah, GS's are rare amongst GIXXERS,CBRRRR'R's, ... I saw a black 2005 F model around my area... Only 20,000 people in this town and at least two of us ride GS's... :)

J
Only other GS's I have seen are at a dealership and my friend owns one. So there are 2 GSs around here on the roads.
I heard a GS while walking the dog this morning. I looked up and it was a Yellow 04...naked!
I saw one gs during a ride in St Louis a couple weeks ago. Naked black 01. Other than that, I used to see one every morning going the other way on a divided road in Los Gatos, CA. It appeared to be an orange '98 very stock. He probably wondered why this guy in a beat up truck was waving to HIM every morning. Never did have a chance to stop him and say hi.
I've had mine for about a month and have been riding it constantly ( very fun ) and I have yet to see another gs :( I've seen ninjas, cbrs, harleys, but not one gs :(
I've never scene one around me, most guys around have the little man thing going on.
On the bright side of things one of my customers "25 year old single chic" has an sv650 very cool!
The only one I've seen in town outside of the Suzuki Dealer is at the local shop, and he was selling it for someone :icon_confused: Never seen one on the road :icon_confused:

Oh yeah, I saw one in Manhattan a few weeks back while on business ... it was naked and black. I got waayyy too excited around my coworkers who know nothing about bikes... "Look, there's a GS, that's the same bike as mine... but naked!".
J
Seen a few while i've been in the car going the other way but never when i'm on the bike.
There's a guy that rides an 05 "F" to the Sunday morning B-ball pickup game at Davis Park. He's cool, always waves as we walk our son and dog.
I see a blue "E" around 60-W over by the mall all the time. I'm pretty certain it's a GS anyway, I never seem to be close enough to tell.
Spotted a yellow "F" at Barnes and Nobles a couple weeks ago.
There is a Sunset Orange (reddish) "E" at Barneys of Brandon.
Neighbor has a Harlye and always admires (or hates with a smile) mine as I go by in the afternoons.
There are a ton of em in Tampa.
Saw a Speed Triple on the way home from work, he was heading W on Lumsden just befor I-75, his side was clear and he got up on one. I gave him a 'shame shame' followed by a thumbs up. He nodded fast, and waved. That is the sweeetest sounding bike I've heard. Ever.
I see em, it's just almost always too far or inconvinient to spin around and catch em.
Me , GeeP , and Adkins (all on our GS's) saw one a couple minutes before we split up from our ride ... THAT guy was probably floored lol . He just saw 3 GS's at once lol
in dallas, simple..
Gixxer or cruiser type... very few otherwise bikes I noticed...
havent seen a GS yet on the road.

When I was in Mexico about a year ago, I saw a GS500E whose rider was delivering pizzas! :thumb:
I have seen a few E's but only one yellow F. It was at the Publix in Anderson, must have worked there. Not sure it was anyone here.
True the GS is not as common as the cookie cutter squid bikes.
I have only seen 1 other GS, it was the F model here in Tucson, AZ.... everything here are GSXRs or CBRs.... kinda disappoints me
Saw an F at Colemans today in Fairfax VA. With another bike. Anyone here?
