It sounds badass to me.  I'll put up a movie tomorrow with clips from different angles and what not.

And then one just to be artsy...

I'd do the soap, water and sponge mod first if it were my bike.  Then maybe I'd consider the throw it off a cliff mod.

Just kiddin, Mak.  That is a pretty cool exhaust set up, fo sho.

It's extremely hard to keep her clean right now because not only is it really dusty here, but it's been really humid and foggy, too.  Everything just sticks to her...

Here's a movie clip:

http://www.photoartclub.net/cx500/cx500.mpg (http://www.photoartclub.net/cx500/cx500.mpg)

She's a bit burbly in the clip...still trying to adjust the midrange on the bike...needs a shim on the needle.  Also missed that first/second shift...if the tach is linear all the way around she grazed about 16k rpm (redline = 9750)...I love push-rods now.  My toes don't quite fit beneath the lever right and bumps her into neutral real easy going into second.  Oh well.  Vid makes her sound a bit higher in pitch, though.

Wish I had gotten a vid of yesterday's jetting lol...sounded like a two-stroke.  sputter pop brrrrrrrrr pop pop grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMM rofl

You took a CX to 16k? :o  Sounds like she runs real well. :thumb:  Is it as loud as the camera makes it sound?

she's not that loud...actually can only barely hear it over the wind.  SHe is pretty noisy by some people's standards at WOT but she's happy to float along at 20mph in 5th at whisper levels.  I love v-twin power delivery.

If you find a pic of a CX tach, the needle was between the T and E on the temperature gauge.  Half a heartbeat more and she'd have did a wrap-a-round.

haha ok more like 14k ~ ish.

I've only got one can that was worth a damn and it's being held off for a another project.  Maybe the 400 if I do something with her.  CF is too expensive to build something specific.

I really did think about it, though, because someone said "make me something badass for my CX racer".  I was thinking scrambler style wrap-around with dual cf megaphones.  Dude's got an RC51 front end on the bike and has had the rear widened to 5.5" with a 180 series tire on it.  I'll get some pics if I can.

My next thing is number plates...for some reason I just think she needs number plates.  Sides are easy...the stock side covers are simple enough to work over...big thing is the front.  One option is a dual headlight kit mounted under a typical, vintage looking oval plate.  Trying to think of something that will fit the stock headlight, though.
