I'm curious, how much do you guys ride your bikes?
Found this in the test area and thought I'd move it out here. :thumb:
Missing an option: "When it's not raining".
My vote went in the weekends and occasional trip to work/school column.
Oh yeah...and when it's not raining hard.... :o
I used to put between 12 and 15,000 miles a year. Now, I'm not sure. So far since Sept. I've put on over 4,000 miles.
I ride everywhere all the time on my bike. The only exception is taking the wife somewhere. She doesn't care for the back of the Buell much... something about 'Once a rider, never a passenger'
it's all i got, i'm too cheap/poor/in debt for a car.

It's allright, I used to have
five motorcycles and had
never had a car until I got married (1993)!
"For Wheelies"
How about "Weekends & Track Days only" ? :)
Pretty much when I am going somewhere within aproximately an hour or closer, and I'm not carying anything or anyone. Also short rides for fun.

About 13,000 miles a year, only weather i don't go out in is snow & ice
I usually commute daily on the GS to work and back. And if I'm going to a friend's house or just riding around. Basically, anytime I can ride my bike somewhere I do. If I need to carry things/people, or if its raining then I drive my POS truck.

No picks for me in the survey! I only use my bikes for racing and touring (well, some are just day tours). I hate riding in the city anymore.
hunting beaver? just kidding, how-a-bout b.s. socialising? :thumb:
I use mine to get to school everyday otherwise I'll need to buy a permit for $6/day or $158/semester and that doesn't even guarantee a spot. The weekends I usually run errands and I can't go grocery shopping with the bike ;)
Its also 2.10/gal for regular in places so I am taking full advantage of my bike's good gas mileage :)
I only have my GS500 - I think I will do about 10000 km a year... depending on how often I take day trips in the University holidays.
I REALLY want to buy a Mini Clubman, a cheap one with no rust and do some work on it, I think having a car (real cheap) along with a bike has its advantages. Like, at least you can take 2+ people, you can carry larger objects, you dont get wet when it rains so on and so forth.
But I am simply addicted to motorcycling, after a few years of it I have noticed that we are different then the boobs in their little tin saftey shells. We are tougher, we have have to be to brave the weather. I will always have a bike... but the days of only having a bike are numbered - just need to convince the girlfriend to cough up $1500 for that mini!

I only had my bike since this march and I've put ~15000km on it. I use it as a primary transport and for joy rides over the weekends or as my vacation.
I do have a car for when the weather is bad or I need to transport some stuff (or have more passengers).
I think I will also use my car in winters as they can be pretty tough and snow rich (not to mention the salt and send) around here.

Yep, another all-season rider...
me too, i mean, i'm also an all-season rider. I actually enjoy riding in the rain, because of all the looks I get from cage drivers.
everywhere except when passengers or parents get in the way. Girlfriends can be a pain as well.
usually weekends. but when my dad lets me ride by myself, (still gotta prove my self) im goin everywhere with that thing. its my pride and joy right now.
yeah, you can get some incredulous looks from cage drivers while riding in the rain, especially when they find out you have a car that runs, is road worthy, but you choose to ride the bike   , i know i do :thumb:
As much as possible!!
I,ve only just got my bike. Loads more fun than my van (Morris Minor) but not so handy for carting stuff around.
Hmmm. Let me see. Y2K model with 1250 miles on it. Bought spanking ass new in the crate. Is kept in the shed "in case I need it". It truly is great therapy. :)
