Title: riding laws in Nc

Hey im heading up to top sail island Nc in july.  Can anybody shoot me some info about riding laws up there, what to watch out for, and of course any good bars.... :)  Im used to riding in Fl where there are no helmet laws and no motorcycle insurance required.  Plus hey if anybodies up that way I wouldnt mind taking a few turns with ya...

wear a lid and don't speed/crash get pulled over....
motor vehicle laws in your state are honored in other states as long as you are valid...legal in your state

you live at the beach and want to go north to the....beach.... :cookoo:

5 year class reunioin.. instead of going back to pa all of us are meeting in nc.  ive delt with snow for too looongg.   Besides i wanna see what the girls are like in nc.  i get tired of plastic down here..

NC is not the place to go :| ( not to offend anyone in any way  :flipoff: ) my mom and them live in the bottom of the smokey's ( about 30 miles for the dragon/blue ridge )  but that might be in .. now ...  in IL. its another story . my soon to be wife is hot as hell . and so are here friends ! :)

D00D... the no insurance required in Florida is a myth. Not a myth, so much as a misconception. Florida is one of the only (the only?) state that doesn't require proof of insurance to register a motorcycle. However, should you be in an accident where you are liable, and have no coverage, you can, and probably will, go to jail.

wisconsin was another hold out for a long time....
I think they changed it a couple of yrs ago

I walked into ins co and told them I wanted to be the under insured guy... they found no humor in that. :dunno_white:

they walk free almost every time....

I highly doubt this. Being from a state without a helmet law will not let you ride in other states without a helmet. Yes, your motorcycle license is still valid, but you have to obey all the rules of the road in the states you go to (eg helmet, insurance, etc.).

WA doesn't require Moto Insurance...  RCW 46.30.020

TN Doesn't require Insurance to Register or Tag.Just Don't get Caught without it.
