Title: Throttle cable ajustments

Im trying to put back my throttle cable on my 2000 Gs500e and i furget what part of the cable i tighten the one at the carb or the other end near the throttle? Right now the throttle is coming back but feals tight. any tips?

Sounds like you need to loosen the connection at the carb, if you did not make any adjustment at the throttle. There needs to be a little play in the throttle, IIRC...2-3mm.

i tried loosening it at the carb and it still goes back a bit slow

going back slow means something is binding. Did you have the throttle, throttle tube or grip off?

yes i did i took carbs out, and i took off throttle

it goes slow then near the top it like jerks abit i looked in the clymer book, and it doesnt even tell me anything.

Unhook the cable from the carb and throttle. See if the carbs moves freely then check the same with cable and throttle. Narrow down the problem.

I had a similar problem when I did my carbs and it turned out the cable had come off the track at the grip end. I'd check there just in case. it made the throttle really slow to snap back. just a thought

oh ok cuz i keep opening it again and again to check maybe its hitting something
