Title: VIDEO CLIP of my HID kit installed on the R6...
Post by: annguyen1981 on May 08, 2007, 04:56:31 PM
I purchased an HID kit with bright yellow bulbs for night-time riding (3000K color temp) and THEY ARE AWESOME!

At the end of the clip, there's also an added thing with my KnightRider lights in the rear that I had on the GS.  The reflection off of the undertail make it SOOOOO kewl.

Since I live in the NorthEast, it seems we don't get as much daylight.  :(

Most of my riding is done at night because I take night classes to finish my degree and when I'm not going to class for the night, work usually has me scheduled, so I leave work in the darkness.  The 3000K yellow bulb is FANTASTIC for night-time driving and rainy conditions too.

Shameful plug...

I've got a Hyper yellow bulb from Lockhart Phillips that was used for about a month's worth of riding.  It will fit the '04+ GS.

If anyone is interested, let me know.  I paid $40 for the bulb.  I'm looking for prolly $20 + shipping (can't be more than $5 for shipping)

One of your headlights is out.  How often do you get that comment?  I'll be sitting at a light with a friend on an R6 and people will pull up and roll down the window to tell him that all of the time.

Looks great, An.

I've had it happen once when I first got the bike.  I was coming to a stop beside a minivan.  Once I stopped completely, he rolled down his window and told me.  I just said, "nope...  that's how it's supposed to be..."

Then I flicked on the high beams and the conversation was over.

I mean your video sucks.  It's too long, it shows you walking into frame to turn the lights on, and it's boring...  A little cut here-and-there... Throw in some music...  There you go!

Another stupid ass video about mods to an ugly ass bike by another stupid ass squid.

Man...  I just can't make it through an An thread without throwing insults...

Eh...  I've got a video editor, but I the reason why the first part is a bit long is because I wanted to capture the HID's turning on...

When they ignite, the flash a little brightly, and then dim down...  Then they start to "warm" up again...  That's what I was trying to catch...  The low beam didn't really work out, but the high beam was pretty good to how it looks in RL.

The video lasts a little over a minute, take some Ritilin and try to expand that weak ass attention span.  The video is fine An and so are the bulbs, don't listen to the haters.

Oh C'mon Doug!  I'm just saying that it could have been cut a little better...  Why have a 60 second vid that sucks when you can have a 30 second vid that's good?

Ritilin?  Sorry...  I was born before they started putting that in school lunches. :dunno_white:
