I thought this would be easy. The manual makes it seem so simple. I got out the tool then bang. I sure cant figure out how to do it.
I can see how the tool would grip te adjuster ring but there is no room for that thing. Id hate to have the deealership do it but for the life of me I cant figure it out.
Are there any tricks to doing this seemingly simple task?
Thx

Make sure you put it up on the centerstand. That will take the pressure off the suspension and give you a little more room back there. It can be done, it just takes some fiddling around with and it is pretty tight. Also, if you adjust it too far it'll pop back onto the first level of compression again and you'll have to click through them all again.
also easiest done from the right or exhaust side of the bike. It is a tight fit, just get the bike on the center stand and its not bad. good luck.

Thanks for the help guys. Ill try again tomorrow. Im looking at setting it at 7 most probably since alot of the time my son doubles up with me.
i kinda like the screwdriver deal, via the left hand side, and turn towards the front of the bike.
if you're a grit and dirt type, you can just feel your way around under there like i do.
couple of tries and your hands learn it easy-cheese.
click click click POING, yep, that sound means you're back to the softest pre-load.
