The ad is in the Phoenix Cycle Trader, one of the inside cover pages, full page ad.
So what's the catch? The bike lists for $5K++
I hate to waste a call
you will just have to call and ask . ask for the vin you would like to do a car fax on it . ( you should be able to check it that way ) make sure theres no damage . if you get the vin you can take it to the local shop and they should be able to make sure its not stolen . it could have been crashed . he bought it back an fixed it up . but the gram could b e damaged . theres alot that could be wrong with it ..... and it may be the simple fact that he put 2k down and desided it was not for him . just call and ask .
This was a dealer ad- I would call but I would not drive 200 miles to Phoenix anyway.
There must be some catch, I wonder if the bikes are demos? Yeah, that would make sense.
The thing I would watch out for is you driving all that way to pick one up... then they add this $199 fee here and that $399 fee there. And all the sudden you're back up to MSRP or close to it and you might as well buy it since you already drove all that way :icon_rolleyes:
I've heard of that happening before, but don't have any experience or a specific story to back it up. So it may or may not be worth it
I asked for the out-the-door price on a SV650 locally.
$something to start with
+ $299 dealer prep fee
+ $289 title prep fee
+ $129 inspection fee
+ $39 IMPACT fee (something like that for the environment)
the dollars are proximal, but you get the point. it's almost impossible to get a direct price from a salesman anymore unless you're talking the rusted POS behind the shop that has the owner's boat anchored to a tree.
