PLUTO'S NOT A PLANET?????
SINCE WHEN?????
welcome to the interwebs, a place of vast knowledge and the latest news, not just motorcycle forums and sheepsRus.com
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pluto
well technically a planet, but a dwarf planet :thumb:
i for one was glad to see the record set straight regarding Pluto.
eight planets; one unusually large kuiper belt object. If we let Pluto in the door, we will have to call all of those objects planets. As astronomers get better at finding them, the list of planets would get ridiculously long.
On the plus side, if we continued with that trend, we might find so many 'planets' that everybody on earth would get a chance to name one. I'm calling mine 'Planet Dorkusmalorkus' :thumb:
and 98 cent gas rocked. :)
what the hell's this got to do with rectal inflation???
got me all excited 4 nuthin!

"Penny Candy" was actually a penny...
Pay phones cost 20 cents...
Chuck Taylors weren't cool... And they cost $10...
Smokes were $1.00... And you could buy them from a MACHINE! With no ID!
A 10 year old kid could buy smokes with a "note from a parent."
Not all of these things happened at the same time or in the same city... But, I've realized the measure of your inner (mental) age is relational to "how expensive things are these days."
So... The more often you say, "I remember when ________ only cost _____" THE OLDER YOU ARE!!!!!! :flipoff:
When I was a teenager:
video games were a quarter and comic books were 50 cents.
anyone with power-windows on their car was rich
anyone with a 56k modem was just showing off (who could possibly need to download that much data?!?!?!)
4-color (CGA) monitors were for the masses, the real techno-philes splurged on the 16-color (EGA) monitors
the national speed-limit was 55mph
Thanks for making me feel old
On the bright side, at least I can say that the PC existed when I was growing up.
When I started riding, I could fill the 3 gal. tank on my new Honda 305 scrambler for a dollar and get a little change back :o
Back then, R&T, C&D, Cycle and Cycle World all cost .50 each.
When I was 18, I could go into any bar and typically get 4 ice-cold draft beers for a buck
Then, $1 would buy 2 hamburgers, fries and a sm drink at McDonalds :icon_lol:
A new 289 Ford Cobra was $5995 (yea, like I could afford that :dunno_white:
And lastly, 21 credit hours a quarter @ OSU cost.........$150!........no I didn't graduate then, I'd spent all my money on motorcycles, beer, magazines and wimmen
