Hey folks, I'm new here, but I have a big problem.
So today I was installing a Dynojet jetkit on my 05 GS500F, and I got it carbs off and everything, and so I was taking the screws that hold the float bowl up, out.
And then one of the screws was seriously stuck.
I tried WD-40, and various things to try and get it out, but nothing helped.
And all of this resulted in the screw snapping off. So the head and around half of the body of the screw is gone. And the rest is stuck down in the thread on the throttle body.
And I can't get it out unless I drill out the entire thing, thread included.
So can the float bowl stay closed (I mean so I doesn't leak gas) if I just use 3 screws insted of 4?
I was thinking of putthing some liquid gasket on around where the screw is broken, but I don't know if that will help.
Does anybody know?
And does anybody have a pic or a diagram over how all the various hoses to and from the carb should be connected, so I don't get it wrong when I have to start my bike again? :)

Tap and die, happened to me all better now. God damn suzuki stock bolts I suggest goin and pickin up 10 allen head bolts instead of using the stock ones again.
Head and 1/2 the body is gone ??? ok so what is holding that remaining thread in there ... trust me it can be gotten out easy ... prolly with a screwdriver tip and super glue. Just need to turn it out, its prolly loose in there.

If it comes down to it you can just drill the sucker out and then tap the hole for an oversize bolt.
This is what it looks like now.
I'm sorry for the cappy pic, but you can see that about half the screw is stuck down in e thread itself, and I can get to it with an impact driver or anything.

Will the float bowl stay sealed if I just use 3 screws and some liquid gasket, do any of you rekon?
Cant you hold it ... looked like it was sticking out of the hole.
If its in the hole, its just in there with literally no pressure. Screwdriver with superglue will do it. Or try left handed drill bit.
BTW 3 bolts are plenty to hold and seal it, just use allen head bolts and dont tighten them till you're blue in the face.
