Still can't justify the $300 for whole exhaust system. Love the look of those little shorty carbon-fibre looking cans they're putting on the new repli-racers, not sure if its GSXRs or Yamas or what, but know I've just started seeing them. Anyway, thinking of getting perhaps one half off a dual system for a litre bike (half of 1000 = 500) that maybe got wrecked early or whatever. Anyone done this or know of anyone who did? Of course I've seen just about everything put on a bike and called a muffler, but I don't wanna lose any performance due to lack of back pressure or volume differences/flow problems, etc... Never thought I'd say this, but I think my baby would look better with a smaller can.... Like the one here....

i did and lost all my bottom end till i rejeted the hell out of it, i am now runing a scorpin bolt on (the flang from a gix 600/750 (4 bolt))
The only problem with the new exhausts is that most of them have a servo and valve that regulates flow based on RPM's through the computer. Really all you would have to do is rip it out and weld it up though :thumb: The Gix1k cans look sick as hell :thumb: :thumb:
Servos in the pipe? What the hell are these people doing to our simple little machines... I guess making them go faster, but shaZam!... I wanna be able to fix it with wrenches, not computers... Makes me feel old to say that :icon_confused:
yea but the problem is there is no room under the gs to hold the real muffler, thats hidden on the 600 and 1000
Yeah that too........I forgot about that ungodly hunk of metal thats covered up by all those nasty fairings
if you want loud jsut run the tip O0
Oh... didn't realize that there was another part to that exhaust system that was hidden. Scrappin that idea. thanks for all the help...
Has anyone tried running Super Trapp Mmufflers?I thought about doing an under tail exhaust or side duals(1 on each side like the big bikes),and wrapping the pipes.Any Thoughts?
Ive got a link pipe ready for a underseat for my nexxus , but at the moment , i have no clearance, and thast when the bikes got no weight on it , i need the Sv 650 shock to raise the 2-3 inch , hopefully , with the tougher , more harder , it wont move as much , thus letting me have it , i mean with the soft stock suspension , every bump , us hear the muffler against sum it , and with a 300 quid exhaust , which is like 550 dollars , dont wanna mark it ,
with the side seat ones, i mean , all a pipe does it feed the exhaust fumes away , so with new link pipes ,l i dont see why not , i mean the gasses would be expelled , hmmm
Not to sure on that one , Possable i guess

I have seen a pic of them installed on a TLR. The exhaust was hidden under the plastic. Only from looking at the bottom of the belly pan could you even tell there was an exhaust.
